Chapter 5:
Hazel POV:
The bell finally rang, signalling that the last lesson for Friday was finished. I've only been here for a week and it's pure misery and hell. I sighed out heavily and slammed the history book shut and placed everything in a mess in my bag. During this week, I've ignored Zayn and his group but Harry always seemed to find me and drag me with him to lunch with his group, much to my protests.
I have a couple of lessons with Harry and Zayn, his group usually sit at the back and I made it my mission to ignore the back seats and thankfully, people hated sitting in the front so the front seats were always empty.
I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked out of the classroom. I swerved through the crowded corridors, making my way towards my locker. When I finally found my locker, I turned the lock and took out my books and took the ones that I needed. I slammed the locker door shut and turned around but stumbled backwards, let out a little scream then hitting the idiotic boy in front of me.
He burst out laughing and I hit him harder. "From what planet are you!?" I said through gritted teeth.
He chuckled and grabbed my wrists, stopping me from hitting him any further.
"Earth," he replied simply. I rolled my eyes and made my way towards the front doors. "Where are you going?"
"Home, you wanna come along?" I asked sarcastically not expecting him to answer.
"Sure, my parents are out of town," he replied.
He walked side by side next to me, while students continued to stare at me.
I had made a few friends but the most that I was sort of close to were Harry, Liam and Jesy. I ignored Zayn. Completely. Last Wednesday I had phoned my grandparents to see how they were doing, they asked me how I was going and when I had mistakenly mentioned that I was hanging out with the Malik's son, my grandmother went a bit crazy. I reassured her, well them, that I wasn't going to do anything stupid and once I gave her my promise she calmed down.
I didn't get why they hated every Malik family, though. Sure their family did a lot of mistakes which resulted in making my family get the worst of those mistakes and them just getting the sympathy. But from what I've seen and found out for myself, Zayn was alright. He was even nice but I was warned that he was one heck of a charmer and flirt.
Harry and I started the walk towards my house. After around ten minutes I pushed open the gate but stopped when I saw my grandparents car parked in the driveway. Harry stopped and looked at me, he followed my gaze and saw the car, then looked back at me looking confused.
"What's wrong?"
"My grandparents are here."
"So? It's not like I'm your boyfriend," he said with a chuckle. "I don't mind, if that's what you're thinking."
"Are you sure?" I asked him, biting my lip.
He nodded and we walked up the driveway. I jammed the key, turned and opened the door. I stepped onto my left so that Harry could have space to enter. He stepped inside, dropping his bag next to door.
"Mom?" I yelled while throwing my bag carelessly next to the door. I rolled my eyes when I noticed that no one was actually home. I walked inside the kitchen, hearing Harry's shoes tap across the tiles after me. I walked towards the table and saw a yellow sticky note with scribbling on it.
I grabbed it and read it. "Honey, your Father's parents came over and I took them a bit around town and out for dinner. Your Father is going to be late tonight, cook something for yourself for dinner. Love Mom."
