Chapter 25:
Zayn POV:
Light flooded in through the open curtains in my bedroom. I groaned and painfully opened my eyes and turned around and laid down on my back and stared at the ceiling. My right hand was slightly throbbing and event from last night quickly flooded my vision and anger bubbled inside of me.
I clenched my fists into tight balls and gritted my teeth in anger. If there wasn't a crowd and Louis and Harry weren't trying to hold me back, I would have kicked the shit out of that douche bag for what he did. If I wasn't being held back, I would have punched the shit out of him and he wouldn't be even close to be recognized as Chase Miller.
Before I had found out what was actually happening, I had attempted to call Hazel to check if she had found Chase and that she was alright. After two calls without her picking up, I headed towards the same door that she had went out of. Seeing Chase standing in the middle of the corridor, running a hand through his already messed up her and only wearing a pair of trousers and Sophia leaning on the janitor's closet door and her dress ruffled up, I knew exactly what had happened. The look on both of their faces when they saw me and that I had put the pieces together, was quite priceless I had to admit that.
What got me even angrier was the fact that Sophia acted as though nothing had happened and she even tried to stop me from punching Chase and even attempted to kiss me.
I gritted my teeth harder and my jaw hurt. The loath I was feeling at the moment was unimaginable. All I wanted to do yesterday was murder the both of them.
I breathed out through my nose and took off my bed covers and stood up. I glanced at my window and through Hazel's window. I frowned and scratched my bare stomach. Her window was slightly open, as usual. From what I could see, her bed was still unmade and the covers of her bed where messed up which meant that she was probably still in bed.
I trailed my tongue across my bottom lip and walked towards the window and pulled it up, sticking me head out. I stuck half of my body out and knocked hard on her window then pulled myself back inside my bedroom before falling down.
The covers shuffled but she didn't wake up.
"Hazel?" I said, keeping my voice low but heard. "Haz-"
"I'm awake," I heard her reply. She sounded exhausted and as though she had been crying all night, which I'm guessing she did.
I frowned and scratched my head. "Hazel."
The bed sheets shuffled again and I saw her figure turning around and she slumped down on her bed, looking at me. I couldn't quite see how she was looking but I knew for sure that she was sad.
"Can I come over?" I asked and she nodded.
Without saying another word, I took off my shorts and put on a pair of grey sweatpants, white tee shirt and pulled on a pair of white high tops, grabbed my phone from my desk and headed downstairs.
"I'm going for a jog," I yelled before slamming the door shut, not bothering to wait for an answer. I jogged down the driveway, pushed open our gate open and shut it closed. Walked a few steps and pushed open the Andersons gate and walked up the driveway and up the few stairs and walked towards the potted plants on the window sill, pulled out the smaller potted plant and took off the door key stuck to the bottom of the plant.
I unlocked the door and placed the key on the key hanger and softly shut the door. I wondered if her parents where home but if they were, I doubt that she would have let me come inside. I silently walked up the stairs and walked through the corridor and softly knocked on her bedroom door. She didn't reply and I slowly opened her bedroom door and looked inside.
