It has been 3 weeks since Ponyboy asked me to be his girl, everything has been going well.
We had just got home from school and we were all going to the drive in for a movie.
We snuck in so we didn't have to pay and found some seats. We sat down in a row behind these two Soc girls and I realized who they were. Cherry and Marcia. The girls Pony talked about especially Cherry, Pony is friends with Cherry.
"Oh hey Ponyboy" Cherry said turning around realizing the gang was sitting behind her. "Hey Cherry" he replied smiling. "Who's this?" She asked him pointing to me. I guess she realized that we were holding hands. "Oh this is my girlfriend Y/n" he introduced me. "Hey" I said waving at her with a smile. "Hi, Pony want to go get popcorn with me?" She asked all flirty. "Uhm sure, you want some Y/n?" He asked me getting up. "No I'm good" I said with a fake smile.
I remember that when me and Pony first met he told me he had a small crush on her. I don't really know why but I just felt like curling up in a ball and crying. What if Pony wants to break up with me for Cherry? What if he still has feelings for her?
So many thoughts were going through my head until Johnny asked me a question breaking me from my thoughts.
"Are you okay Y/n?" Johnny asked shyly. "Yeah I'm fine just tired" I lied and I think he could tell. "Alright" he said sitting back down.
Ponyboy and Cherry came back with the popcorn and they were laughing and flirting, well mostly Cherry was flirting. I finally had enough of it and walked to the bathrooms.
"Where are you going Y/n?" Ponyboy asked me. "To the bathroom" I said quietly. "Are you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine" but I wasn't, I couldn't stand watching some other girl that my boyfriend used to have a crush on flirt with him.
I was walking towards the bathrooms when someone came out of nowhere and slapped me as hard as they could. I fell to the ground but looked up to see my dad. He found me. I tried yelling for help but it was no use, no one could hear me.
"You seriously though you could run away from me?!" He asked clearly angry. He raised his hand to hit me again but Dally came and punched him and knocked him out cold. "Are you okay Y/n?" Dally asked. "Y-Yeah I-I'm just f-fine" I stuttered out. "Is this your dad?" He asked. "Yeah I ran away from him cause of all of the times he came home drunk and beat me.." I explained.
Suddenly the gang came running over to me. Oh my god Y/n are you okay?" Ponyboy asked wrapping his arms around me. "Yeah I'm okay" I said. "Oh Y/n you have a big bruise on your cheek" he said pointing to it. "I'll be okay Pony" I reassured him.
Sodapop ended up calling the cops so my dad could be locked up. He got locked up for good this time, I was so happy.
I still couldn't believe that he found me because I thought he wouldn't. I thought I was getting away for good.
"You good Y/n?" Two-Bit asked breaking me from my thoughts.
"Yeah I'm fine, just thinking" I said.
"About what?" He asked curious about what I had to say.
"About how my dad found me" I said.
"Oh don't worry about it he's locked up for good now, you ain't gotta worry about him again" Two-Bit reassured me.
"Yeah your right" I said watching t.v.
The rest of the night consisted of me and Pony cuddling, watching Mickey Mouse with the gang, and everyone comforting me telling me everything was going to be fine.
