Me and Ponyboy have been arguing a little bit lately and I'm worried it will end out relationship. We were fighting about the fact Cherry was flirting with him.
"Oh come on I wasn't flirting back Y/n!" He yelled back at me.
"But sh-" I got cut off my Pony snapping at me.
"YOU KNOW WHAT Y/N IF YOUR JUST GOING TO ASSUME THAT I WAS FLIRTING WITH OTHER GIRLS THAN MAYBE WE SHOULD'NT EVEN BE TOGETHER!!" He snapped at me. At this point the whole gang was watching us.
I ran was about to run out of the house when Pony grabbed my arm.
"Y/n I'm sorry I didn't mean it" he apologized realizing what he just said.
"No Pony your right, maybe we shouldn't be together" I said. I heard most of the boys gasp.
"Please Y/n I didn't mean it, I'm so sorry" he said tearing up.
"Ponyboy Michael Curtis let go of me!" I said raising my voice.
I ran out of the house crying, I just kept running until I got to the lot. Eventually I heard footsteps coming closer to me.
"Y/n are you okay?" Someone asked. I realized that voice though. One of my best friends, Sodapop Curtis.
"Yeah I'm just fine.." I said being sarcastic. I started crying even more and Soda pulled me into a hug. We stayed like that for awhile with me just crying into his chest.
"I broke up with the one boy I loved the most" I said calming down.
"Ah young love can be tough sometimes" he said trying to cheer me up. "Look Y/n Ponyboy loves you so much, as soon as you left he went to our room crying" he said.
"I thought you would hate me because I broke with your brother" I said kind of surprised.
"Your joking right? Your my best friend, why would I hate you cause you broke up with my brother?" He asked. I just shrugged. "Come one let's go home" Sodapop said standing up.
We walked back home to see everyone in the living room like normal, except for Ponyboy. I sat on the couch in between Steve and Sodapop and watched t.v. Ponyboy eventually came out of his room and saw me on the couch, he just looked at the floor.
"S-Soda can I talk to you?" Pony asked his older brother. His voice sounded shaky when he talked.
Pony and Soda talked outside for a good 5 minutes before Soda called me outside to talk with them.
"Okay Y/n I know your mad at Pony but ya gotta forgive him" Soda said practically begging.
"I don't know.." I said looking down. I really wanted to forgive him because part of me loves him but the other part of me is still kind of mad.
"Okay fine I forgive you Pony" I said running into his arms. I couldn't stand being mad at him anymore.
"I love you Y/n" Pony said. That was the first time we had ever said 'I love you' to each other.
"I love you too" I said kissing his cheek.
"Hey that was the first fight you guys have had, and it made your relationship stronger!" Soda said excitedly.
We went back in the house me and Pony holding hands. He didn't need to ask me if I would be his girl, because I practically said 'yes' by saying 'I love you too' and kissing him.
