The Guide of Argos

Prologue

(This is my first time on Wattpad so please, no negative comments. I do however allow constructive criticism like if my grammar or spelling  is wrong)

Raymond went towards the dungeon as he clambered with fear. His old master, Icarus is imprisoned there on a charge of treason laid by Raymond himself. Raymond responded nervously"H-hello master. W-what do you want." "I have a plan" Icarus responded, "that would give us control of the kingdom within a week. "The kingdom they were in is Taurid and the new King, Cyril, ruled with an iron fist, dissolving the Feudal order and robbing the nobles of all their power. The Elven and Dwarven leaders are getting angry at the new king's ignorance of their demands. Icarus continues as if anticipating his(Raymond's) thoughts. "Don't worry you will get back the position of Grand Duke of Gyronny and more... if you will help me reclaim my kingdom.

Raymond thought about it for a second as his master is great at manipulating people and wondered if this is just a trick to make himself even more powerful than he was before as he now wants to conquer the Elven and Dwarven kingdoms as well because they sent troops to defeat his army in the Battle of Darwin. Icarus then roared out loud" I will keep my promise for my life" He then  continues "I swear this oath to the High God Uxor." Everybody seemed surprised by this, even the sages as this kind of oath only happens when a kingdom falls and a new one takes its place. The King's advisor heard this and immediately have the Marquis of Nottingdam executed on twenty counts of treason. Raymond and Icarus fled into the forests and stayed there for forty-five years when a new king rises. Meanwhile, Cyril is still looking for members "of that damn contingency"

Raymond and Icarus continued to talk inside the forest when the soldiers are back at the King's Fortress "Now listen here you" Icarus whispers"We can't let anybody else know about this conspiracy." Raymond nodded, even though his mind is boggling with questions 'Who does it involve ?' ' Why are we in the forest ?'' Are there any guards now ?' he thought nervously. W-what do you want me to do " Icarus smirked and advised  Raymond "Go to Antersby Cove and find a powerful wizard on Yalou Mountain. His name is called Erin Nova and he used to work at the Academy in the Capital. Ask for his help in raising an army and you shall reclaim your throne.

"But Sir, won't you be going as well," Raymond asked. Icarus thought about this for a second and responded, "No, My job is to lead you to Cressington and fight off any intruders."Even if I have to die to do this." He added afterwards as they left the forest and went towards Cressington.
