The Guide of Argos

Chapter 6-Vengence

*******Falcon POV*********

Falcon couldn't believe his eyes when he found out the truth about the mysterious wizard as he continued his dangerous trek across the Septic Mountain Range.During that time, he encountered many dangerous animals in the mountains,including native Houndires,which are wolves with extra sharp teeth,high intelligence and given the ability to shoot frost spikes,as they are given the ice aspect.They charged at Falcon,shooting their icicles at him.He tried to dodge them all but he got pinned by two of their missiles. Falcon thought'Weird. Didn't they used to be weaker,like in the stories.'Before he could do anything however,the leader of the Houndires rose up to his hind knees and spoke to Falcon in a pleased tone"Ah yes,Falcon.the savoir our boss told us about.Now the prophesy can be stopped once and for all."The Houndires around him burst into contemptuous laughter.Before long,Falcon lit up his staff and created a spell to send to Ileo as a message to tell her what just happened.

Afterwards he was brought to a strange tower that he didn't know but it gave an evil-type feeling that sent shivers down his spine.He thought that this may be Argos' Hollow, the mansion where he lived.When he got to the gate however,the young man from earlier intercepted the Houndires and said "Lord Argos personally requested me to take him."Falcon growled in fury because he now knew that this guy worked for the Dark Wizard himself.Nova then told the guards accompanying him to leave stating"I can handle him twice as well as you can."As the sun dried up the few droplets that remained,Nova took Falcon to the courtyard and began to talk with him."I do not wish to fight with you"he said calmly."Argos sees great potential in you. Join me and you will finally realise your potential."Falcon angrily growled at Nova and said"I'll never join your malicious cause even if i have to die."Shortly afterwards,he broke out of Nova's grip.Nova is very furious and called the royal guards,later adding "But don't kill him you a**holes."

Falcon disappeared into the mysterious jungle still trying to avoid the many dozens of knights currently searching for him.He stumbled upon a phantom which tried to prevent Falcon from going any further but was quickly killed by the young Apprentice using his newly learnt fire spells he had known from the bundle of scrolls Argon gave him before Falcon left.The phantom gave an eerie shriek before dying and turning into dust. Falcon didn't think for a second as to where he's going before diving down the cliff and when he recovered,he couldn't move his muscles anymore. Apparently,something stunned him while he was falling off the cliff and he groaned in response.He felt a sudden urge to vomit all of a second and tried to figure out where he is but he seems way far out of the known world so far,judging from the landmarks.Someone familiar emerged from the woods,and he looked angry,mad and pleased at the sight of Falcon.It was The Doctor,Yvytrem.(I'm going to call him that from now on.)Empowered by Magical Blesses and inner rage,he lunged at Falcon,pinning him down and trying to drain his Lifeforce but Falcon rolled over and turned his back on Yvytrem and thus disabling his Lifedrain ability. Yvytrem growled in anger as he tried rolling Falcon off to the side to drain his Lifeforce. Falcon in turn summoned a fireball to attack Yvytrem and he howled in pain.As Falcon saw Yvytrem be distracted from the fire,he jumped at his golden opportunity and used his staff between Yvytrem and the surrounding caverns and cliffs. Interestingly,Yvytrem does not even hesitate for a moment before breaking free and jumping into the cavern,leading to his death.His beaten and bloody body still lies there today,preserved with the endless snow that is about to come. 

Falcon left the body where it is and continued on his journey up the mountain.When he was resting,he stumbled across an old hermit while climbing down.The hermit led Falcon to his hut at the top of the mountain.Falcon grew wary on approaching the hermit at first,as he's afraid the hermit might betray him like nova did.however,at this point in time,Falcon was so sleepy,that he couldn't really disagree with anything,honestly.As he climbed the mountain again,he finally saw a clear but distant light on the top and assumed that's where the hermit lives.He was partly annoyed with the hermit but also with himself for even agreeing for what to do next.When he finally got there,he was so tired that he decided to lay on the ground and breathed a sigh of relief before comfortably dozing off.The next morning,Falcon wanted to leave The Hermit's place and find Ileo ASAP before the Hermit stopped him.Falcon felt bitterly mad and frustrated because he just want to get back now.The Hermit led him to a crystal globe where he can view anything in the whole world.

Three battalions of soldiers marched through the forest,hoping to bring a hefty reward upon capturing him.The officer(whose tag identified him as Zarnok) kept on sending scouts to search for Falcon until,at sunrise,many of the soldiers mutinied at their former commander"We deserve the right to sleep!!!"one soldier angrily protested,while drawing his sword at Zarnok. Zarnok tried to diplomatically resolve the problem,but this did not work,as most of his men were conscripts who don't even want to fight in the first place.Mass desertions happened afterwards,as a few generals lurked in the dark,trying to kill Zarnok for insubordination against Nova's wish;that his soldiers be treated like human beings and not robots.However,The men were not at all quiet.As they maadrched through the land,one general yelled three words:"Revenge!!!,Justice!!!,Murder!!!"Zarnok instantly escaped through an underground tunnel he had built in case something like this ever happened. However,Nova didn't seem worried by this mass defection,instead just sending more soldiers to help search for Falcon and Zarnok as well, to prevent anymore mutinies and to teach those thinking about rebelling a lesson on what could happen.Nova notices the presence of someone or someones spying on him,so he used his staff to cast a mysterious spell and the globe turned black.

The hermit explains"This is why you can't go looking for her.Nova's armies of ferocious soldiers will attack you on sight as you leave this hut."Falcon responded in some temper to this statement saying "I would rather be butchered by a thousand soldiers than to lie low here for the rest of my life."He grabbed his staff,his pack and his scrolls and was just about to leave until a familiar voice reached his ears.Falcon stopped in horror when he realized who it could be:Nova himself. Apparently he'd gotten through the defences of the hermit's spells.When Falcon asked however,Nova raised one hand and said'Those are simple spells that hardly deter anything,much less a well established wizard like me.'He added"The boss is looking for you now.As I'il say again,you have great potential inside of yourself"
