The Guide of Argos

Chapter 8

***Falcon POV***

Falcon treked through the mountains and into a strange,dark,mysterious forest.He was almost out of breath,but his head says'Keep running.'Falcon perked up his ears,listening to his chasers.No responce.Falcon kept running despite the odds,however he soon figured out where in the world he was.He kept running until he reached a mountain.Falcon tried to run to the right or left,however ,he found that he was blocked off by the tree spirits who dared him to wallk closer.Feeling like his only way out of this mess was to climb the mountain,Falcon stretched his muscles,getting ready for a long  and painful journey.Falcon scales the mountain at a remarkable speeed but found himself stuck between the patrols again.Now,with no choice left he covered his head,bracing for impact.The enemy army wore full plated chainmail and wielded deadly halberds and swords and seem to be charging in his direction.Suddenly,a pile of rocks appeared out of nowhere and crushed the guards to death.One of the guards gave a bloody moan before he collapsed on the ground,same as his comrades beside him.

Falcon didn't dare to check who did it,when the person vanished.He could see however,that it's not a human and maybe a moon elf.He could tell it isn't IIeo because her skin is much darker than the majic caster.He continued to run off the mountain when he heard the person yell at him,in a commanding voice"Stay Where You Are!"Falcon jumped in surprise before finally getting the nerve to say something"W-who are you"The Elf didn't answer him and vanished into the treetops.

However,some presence on the mountain has angered the Rock and Tree Spirits which caused landslides and earthquakes all over the continent.Falcon turned to see where the presence is at,however he cannot detect the whereabouts of where the presence is,so he assumed it was some dead ghost or an incectoid demon.The landslides continued as the Ancient Spirits roared with anger.Something is clearly wrong here,as the spirits haven't been this angry for over 5000 years.

Luckily,he spotted something in the very corners of his eyes.A goblin suddenly appeared out of thin air holding an emerald-green dagger and clutching a huge,orange,powerful and mysterious  gem in the shape of a diamond.The goblin lunged at Falcon with his dagger,but instead of stabbing him with it,he preformed an Arial slash which pushed Falcon into the trees and carried the goblin off the mountains and into the valley below.

Falcon tried to catch up,but  the goblin is already out of sight.He then tried to reach out to IIeo and everyone he knew using his instant messager,but it was no use.The only person he could contact was his great-uncle Eldric and this worries him because Eldric is infamous in his community for  inciting blasphemous  remarks on the current preists and coming up with ridiculous lies and forming many debated"Anti-Religous demonstrations on the grave of Fathom I,The first king in the land.When he tried to tell Eldric about the mysterious phenomena happening,Eldric scoffed at the rumors,saying that they were"natural occourances."Frustrated,as the sun reflected off his amber yellow eyes.Falcon ended the conversation and continued trying to find a way off the mountain.

Falcon saw a cave and limped himself towards it,seeking shelter for the night,before getting out.The second he did,however,the cave closed behind him.Having no way out of this sticky situation,he prayed to the king of gods Uxor for help during this crisis.It did not work and Falcon was forced to navigate around when he saw a light up ahead.Cautious but weary,he slowly approached the light.He found the Elf from before and she invited him to sit down.She explains:"I have been watching you for some time now.It suddenly seems that the prophecy is right after all."She continued with a grin on her face:"I have the upmost confidence that you and someone else has the power to stop 'The Cynic' once and for all."Upon seeing the look on Falcon's face,she spoke to him in a more quieter voice.Later that day,Falcon slept and had a dream,which goes like this

Falcon imagined himself in a better univerce,one without the stress of prophesies and Dark Lords,when Argos got into his dream.Animals fled at the sight of the Dark Wizard,while the usual blue sky and white,puffy clouds turned into a totally black sky with no stars whatsoever.
