Falcon had evaded the beasts attack. However, their leader, a big brown bear, approached the enchanted animals and spoke up in an incoherent roar.
After that, Argos possessed the bear and spoke with a glance of anger:
"You have fought bravely, but now that the Beasts are on my side, along with the Shadows that I possess now nowhere will you be safe. "
Argos then made the violet-eyed bear attack Falcon, and he dodged before slashing his green, mettallic, Eternalite blade into the bear's stomach. The bear moaned in agony before collapsing to the ground. However, no wounds appeared on the brown bear. The bear growled in anger and attempted to bite Falcon on the neck, but he ducked, causing the bear to crash its head on a rock, leaving it leaking a lot of blood
Finally, the purple iris of the bear flickered as the conscience of the bear slowly disappeared, and the bear's eyes retained their normal color and shape. In the bear's dying breath, he said, "I don't understand!" Before his spirit faded away and evaporated out of his body and in the atmosphere. The bear laid there, unmoving and unbreathing.
After that, the animals fled into the woods, and thunder crackled in the distance. A blue-white stag suddenly came out and told Falcon, " Get out of those woods. It's not safe for you to be here. Go to Antersdam to wait for me. You will know when I arrive by the sundial in the city center when the sun eclipses." The stag then galloped towards the city and disappeared.
Falcon then noticed that the path was opened. He cautiously made his way to the city, bypassing several before a guard stopped him and loudly asked him, " What is your business here at the City of Light?" Falcon hesitated for a few moments before saying,"The "I'm just here to wait for my packages," he lied. The guard did not seem convinced and prodded him with his spear and taking him to the current Grand Viceroy.
Falcon trembled in fear as he knew exactly who it was, as he worked in Antersdam for a short while to earn some extra money before he moved nearer to the Academy.
He was a cruel and dishonest man who did anything he could to feel 'safe' like poisoning his many rivals. He is Dreadnaw, the former Lord of the 7 Free Provinces before the Usurpation of the Eunuchs .
He approached Falcon, glaring him in the eye before raising his long crystal spear at Falcon's neck as a threat. Falcon calmly backed away before being forced into a corner. The person raised his hood, revealing a short bearded dwarf under a huge magic suit. He wore a small horned helmet and interrogated Falcon
"Now why hast thou ventured into our lands."
The dwarf dropped Falcon on the ground, and he responded
"What's your matter, interrogating me
for no reason?"At this, the dwarf's face was flushed with red, and he bellowed out in anger:
"I am the Grand Viceroy, and therefore, I can do whatever the heck I want you, son of a rat! "
He was about to choke Falcon again before a voice shot out from the distance:
"Stop! My friend, he poses no harm to us whatsoever, I think we should invite him in .He doesn't seem like the...creatures we reported from the West or a spy for Argos."
Falcon glanced to the side in surprise as a medium elf appeared, gesturing him to come forward. His blond hair wavered in the sun like wheat, and his dark blue eyes stood out like sapphires.
Dreadnaw raised an eyebrow, instantly suspicious of Falcon and his motives, as he put his hand on his golden handle of his sword. He then bellowed, " I think he is a spy and should be excecuted! "Falcon glared at the tall dwarf in confusion, but then a loud sound disturbed both of them. A cobalt blue goblin suddenly stormed into the building, throwing his purple knife at the current Grand Viceroy along with 2 shirkens dipped in poison.
"Watch out!" Falcon exclaimed .
His shouts were in vain as the knife pierced through the dwarf's thin chainmail and leaked out his green blood all over the floor.
The goblin used this opportunity to rip the knife out of Dreadnaw's dead body and ran towards the window. Before he could do so, though Antersdam's City Watch caught up to him and threw him in the dungeon.
The Elf gestured Falcon to come. He says, "Meet me at the downtown tonight. There is something you need to see." Having not much choice, he agreed .In the meantime, he roamed around the bustling streets of Antersdam, which feels wrong somehow. It is so large and messy that Falcon couldn't believe it's the City of Light.'
He reached the city square after a while of getting lost and was amazed at how large it was. He walked around for a bit, looking at the medievalesque architecture, marveling at the immense detail of the buildings and the new mechas on the streets. These mechs are similar to the one that chased him and IIeo when they were traveling tougether, which causes him to miss her a lot . He started to walk towards the cathedral when all of a sudden, a mysterious animal stopped him. Falcon paused, but the being disappeared before he got a glimpse.
As the being disappeared, Falcon started asking the cityfolk about what he had just seen, but he had been unable to get a unified response on the matter, as some say it's a man-eating rabbit or a crystalline snake or a variety of other creatures from folklore. He sighed and realized it's nearly sundown. He rushed as quickly as he could to the market square, near the largest sundial in the world to wait for the Elf.The electric-yellow haired Elf arrived ten minutes later and introduced himself:
"Hi, my name is Laetius, and I am the Councilor of Sciences in Antersdam."
We will help you in the Great War if you would do something for us.""Why would you ask me to do this task?"he asked."I'm only an ordinary farm boy from the countyside."
Laetius clicked his tongue 👅 and said, "We see great potential in you.You have a large amount of ki, the energy allowing us mortals to use abilities beyond the normal capabilities. You could lead our side to victory over the shadows. "
Falcon immediately agreed, and the Elf said that he would brief the details tomorrow for fear of being overheard. "
The shadowy malevolence of Argos apparated in front of them. Many of the townsfolk, while seeing the figure, dropped whatever they had and ran around screaming.
Argos addressed Falcon "Stand down or else. "Falcon still defiantly held his ground. Argos gave a small smirk." Fine then. Have it your way. "After that, he dissipated and left.Little did he know. However, Argos actually went to the Gods to allow them not to interfere in the conflict. As Falcon fell asleep, however, Argos invaded his dreams and filled them with what he sees, as he is the God of Darkness and could therefore manipulate peoples' dreams.
In the main Partheon, he spoke in front of the rest of the Gods, bowing as he spoke, "Lord Uxor, God of Forests. For ages us gods have stayed out of the mortals' petty conflicts. Why should this be any different.I only ask as your uncle to stay out of this until the war is over. The other immortals grumbled with each other, having mixed feelings about just allowing the world they built destroy itself.
Imperius, the God of War, either seem to heavily favor this suggestion heavily, or he could be extremely drunk, like usual. He thumped his Aetherian blade, one of his three symbols of power."We haven't had such fun since the First Goblin Rebellion. Just let the ungrateful brats die.Besides, none of them respect us anyways. This comment is met with applause by a small half of the deities present, with many comments like"This is a corrupt age" or "They should die anyways. They were always annoying fleas."
Argos swapped the scene to a white background, staring at Falcon with expectations."Well, what do you think? Now your sacred gods won't be able to help you anymore. You're on your own now."he told Falcon in a mocking tone.Falcon was left in a state of panic as he woke up.
