Y/N POV:
"Well, why do you think he ignored you?" Mikasa asked and you were still trying to rid your mind of the image of Connie and Sasha together...half-naked.
"I don't know. We were fine this morning," you shrugged and stared at each other, both lost as to Eren's intention.
"Why don't you go ask? Maybe he just didn't see you, I'm sure he's probably at his dorm by now," Mikasa suggested and you agreed the more you thought about it.
"You're right. I'm probably overthinking it, I'll be right back,"
You stood up and found yourself diving into the urge to discover what was going on with everything. You hurried off to his dorm and his door was unlocked like usual which gave you a sense of relief and hope.
"Eren?" You looked around after noticing he didn't seem to be around.
The shower wasn't on, the bathroom door was open so he couldn't have been in there. He obviously wasn't in the kitchen or the living room, you went into his bedroom to see if he was in there yet all you found was every single picture frame in his room was empty.
The one from this morning, empty. All the photos were gone but everything else in his room was the same. You heard a knock on the front door and felt even weirder, you went to go open it and the last person you were expecting stood there.
"Erwin? Why are you here?"
"Oh. I'm here to take Eren," he informed and he was oddly dressed up more than usual, a very obviously expensive all-black suit is what he was wearing.
"Take Eren? Where?"
"You don't know? That's weird..." he looked behind you to see if Eren was inside but you were obviously just as confused; if not more, than before.
"Know what? Where were you two going?"
"Carla's funeral is today. He asked me to drive him, I thought he would've told you and I assumed you'd be coming. Do you know where he is then?" Erwin asked and his phone suddenly began vibrating, you were in a pit of confusion.
Why didn't he tell you? He didn't mention his mom at all since she passed and you knew something was up. Where was he? Why did he ignore you earlier today? None of it made any sense.
"Oh, this is him. Hold on," he put the phone to his ear and turned around, his left hand was in his pants pocket and he faced the hallway wall.
You stood with your hand on the doorknob and couldn't comprehend why he wouldn't tell you or even invite you for support. You knew he was closed off when it came to his personal life from the beginning but you didn't expect him to go weeks without telling you at all.
"I have to go." Erwin muttered to you and shoved the phone back in his pocket to head back down the hall in what looked like a rush.
"Wait! Where is he?!"
EREN POV:
"Are you sure it's okay? If it's not I can always stay at a hotel." I asked and set my hands inside my pocket while staring at him.
"It's fine. I have a spare room so it's not a problem," Zeke assured and patted me on the back before heading toward his room in the other direction.
I know she probably hates me right about now and I get it. She has every reason to, I know communication was always the better option but I couldn't communicate how I was feeling when I didn't know myself. I missed my mom so much, I only stayed in school because going to a good college meant I'd have a good job and would be able to afford her hospital bills.
