EREN POV:

Three more weeks to go before mid-terms. Classwork was easing up and I had spent my night at the hospital after yesterday. Y/n's game tag had appeared on my phone last night for hours...it may be believed that's she really was playing the game so I left it at that.

I was in the hospital bathroom and it was early in the morning. 6 AM.

The bathroom was empty and I changed into different clothes because I didn't have the energy to go home last night.

I hadn't put my baseball cap on so there was a shadow over my face to hide my eyebags and how red my eyes were. I knew people would assume I was smoking or just high even though that wasn't why my eyes were red.

My eyes were a little swollen but that seemed to be the usual since she was put into a coma. The redness in the whites of my eyes became more and more noticeable but I hoped putting water on my face from the sink would help reduce the swelling at least from the cold water.

She was getting worse, I knew that because the doctors stopped giving her as much treatment every couple of days. They probably assumed I didn't notice but I did. I knew it could've been seen as a kind gesture so the bills weren't as expensive but honestly, it just made me feel worse knowing I couldn't do anything for her.

I put the hat on before leaving the bathroom and walked toward the entrance so I could leave out the sliding doors.

Y/N POV:

"Are you sure you're okay? Why don't we just stay home and watch movies?!" Mikasa persisted again for the fifth time, she peaked her head in the bathroom because you had the door open while you were looking in the mirror.

"Yes! I realized last night that I was just being overdramatic. This is also one of my favorite restaurants so you'll like it but I don't think being this upset over a guy I didn't date is worth it," you explained "cheerfully" and turned around in the bathroom to face her.

"That's not true and we'll talk about that later but okay then. Sasha's outside waiting for us, "Mikasa informed.

You nodded and joined her, you and Mikasa walked out to where Sasha was parked and waiting for you both. Mikasa sat in the front and you sat in the back, you stared out the window and contributed to the conversation.

"Sasha that was a stop sign..." Mikasa muttered with her eyes squinted at Sasha.

"Oh, I know. Those don't actually mean stop though-"

"Then why the hell would it be there?!" Mikasa snapped loudly.

Sasha started laughing at her and pulled over to the right into the complex of stores and restaurants. She parked in front of the one you had suggested before and you all got out.

It was somewhat busy but you were seated fairly quickly by the host, you all sat at a booth, and Mikasa and Sasha sat next to each other. You were staring at the menu while Mikasa and Sasha started to argue over if the stop sign even existed or not.

You didn't even need to look at the menu because you knew what you wanted. You waited until they figured out what they wanted and after a couple of minutes, you all ordered.

"Can we share a fried ice cream?" Mikasa asked.

You and Sasha both nodded and Sasha was looking at the drink menu.

"I want something sweet. Beer has been really bitter lately," Sasha complained.

"No, it's bitter because you refuse to pay over five dollars for alcohol. I wouldn't be surprised if they're giving you pee," Mikasa teased jokingly.
