We decided on watching a random animated disney movie, laughing and smiling at the characters on screen.
Halfway through, we got closer. Cuddled up next to each other, his arms thrown around my waist and my head on his chest. I could feel the slow lifting of his chest from his breathing and his erratic heartbeat.
I started playing with his fingers, struggling to keep my eyes open. It was just so warm and cozy.
"Are you about to fall asleep? During Frozen 2? Shameful." I then heard Clay mumble, laughing a bit.
I loopily smiled, laughing and nodding. He continued to sighed, petting my hair. My eyes fully shut as I relaxed into the feeling.
---
I dozed off a little bit after that, waking up when my shoulder was jostled slightly.
My eyes fluttered open, and I saw Clay standing in front of me and smiling. I groggily smiled back, lifting my hand and giving him a tired wave.
He chuckled, sitting on the bed. I don't remember him getting off of it to begin with.
"Mornin', sleeping beauty. You have work in an hour and a half so I figured I'd let you know." He said, tugging on a sweater he had in his hands.
I nodded and sat up, running a hand through my hair. I sniffed and frowned slightly, feeling sad.
"M'sorry I slept the whole time, that was probably boring." I said, my voice tired.
Clay shook his head, standing up to turn off his computer. He must have been working on advertising stuff while I slept.
"You're all good. I kept you up last night." He said, smiling and winking at me.
I laughed and rolled my eyes at the innuendo. "Yeah, because playing minecraft is so sexy, Clay." I said, smiling.
He laughed, sitting back down on the bed. "I mean, I did kiss you after you killed a bunch of mobs because I found it hot, so…" He said, shrugging.
I rolled my eyes again, grinning at him. I sighed, looking down at my current attire.
It could get hot in the shop, and a sweater probably wasn't the best to be working in. So I needed to change.
I sighed again, running a hand down my tired face.
"Guess I need to change and get ready." I said, still a bit upset about not having spent much time with Clay.
"Alright. You wanna go, then?" He asked, jabbing a thumb towards his door. I nodded and slowly got off of his bed, stretching my aching muscles.
We made our way out of his room and down the stairs, watching as Patches scampered to the base of the stairs to meet us. She let out small purring noises, brushing against Clay's leg.
He leaned down and scratched her, a goofy smile on his face. God, he was cute.
Nick was sat on the couch, flipping through random channels on the big tv. He looked over his shoulder to us, giving a half hearted wave.
"You guys leaving or something?" He asked, stopping the tv on some random sports show before turning to us and resting his head on the back of the couch.
"Yeah, gotta get Vi to work. You need anything while I'm out?" Clay asked, grabbing his keys and slipping his shoes on.
"Nah. We have frozen pizza so I'll just make that." He replied, turning his attention to the tv.
