"Um..." Izuku stared at Mitsuki in stupor as he slowly regained his composure.

"So? Am I right?" Mitsuki questioned eagerly, seeming to realize the startled reaction most likely meant a "yes".

"Mitsuki, cut it out, for–"

"Yeah." Izuku chuckled sheepishly. "I didn't think you'd just...up and say it. And so accurately, too." Masaru cut himself off mid-word and blinked at him in as great of a stupor as Izuku had been seconds earlier.

"Oh my god! I feel so old! You're gonna make me old!" Mitsuki pressed the dorsal side of her hand against her forehead, leaning backwards with her second hand against the counter as she leaned back dramatically.

"I'm sorry! I, uh–" Izuku wasn't sure what to say or how to comprehend their reactions, but he sure as hell was feeling even more overwhelmed than he had been when he was about to tell them.

"That's..." Masaru straightened, rubbing the back of his neck, "it's unexpected, but I promise you, that's great news. It's just...I never thought..." Masaru chuckled sheepishly, once again waving his hands in front of him protectively.

"Thank you. I'm...it's just been a lot, lately."

"That's great, fantastic news, Izuku! You should've told us earlier, god, we would've already started planning things!" Mitsuki clapped her hands together before rushing towards Izuku and gripping him tightly by his shoulder, shaking him on the spot as Izuku clenched his fists by his sides, feeling nervous but happy. More on the nervous side though, as much as he hated admitting it.

"It's complicated. Katsuki, well, he didn't find out until recently too, so I–"

"When are you having the child! You're not big, so you're at like...a few weeks? A month?"

"Two months, actually." Izuku replied sheepishly, taking a step back and folding his hands on his chest. He could've sworn his stomach tightened right there for a second, and he shifted on the spot as he tried to look his parents in law in the eyes. "Two months and...about a little over a week."

Mitsuki blinked at him in surprise.

"Did you only find out recently, or...?" Izuku shook his head sheepishly.

"It was complicated. I really...didn't know how to tell him. With all his work and stress and all that, and considering I started getting all emotional and stuff, I can't say we were on the best terms." Izuku shrugged, doing his best to be casual. Now he hadn't wanted to let that much slip out. As much as he hoped neither of them would catch on, Masaru hummed at the comment.

"Katsuki's pretty difficult, but that's a bit harsh." Mitsuki nodded silently, rubbing the back of her ear as she seemed to contemplate something.

"It's not his fault! He didn't know, and I was...out of it."

"You were sick, right? Katsuki took you to the hospital." Mitsuki questioned, frowning slightly. However, the frown wasn't one of anger, but just concern, and Izuku sincerely didn't know which one was worse.

"Yeah. It...it was just morning sickness, and the next thing I know, I'm in the ER. It wasn't bad though, I'm being treated and...nothing's bothering me anymore, so I'm not sick anymore." Izuku wasn't sure if that sounded selfish or not, but judging by the deepening frown, he must've said something wrong.

"Listen, Izuku. I think it's reasonable to trust your decisions. But you should care more about yourself. I'm sure Katsuki told you this already, but you mark yourself too low, and, well..." Masaru lowered his eyes and let out a small sigh, "it doesn't just affect you. Other people around you get worried, and this time, you're not the only one who can be affected by your health, even physically."
