"I'm surprised Bakugo actually married someone. How come I've barely heard anything about you? The news reporters should be all over you, shouldn't they?" Todoroki, the flame and ice hero, chatted idly with Izuku as the two sat next to each other at the almost uncomfortably fancy restaurant. Izuku chuckled, trying to stop the fidgeting as he attempted to calm his inner fanboy from embarrassing himself.
"I guess I'm lucky. Either that, or Katsuki threatened them to death. Or I just don't go outside often..." Izuku trailed off, unsure how much he should share. He should probably be really formal, but man, he was swimming in those heterochromiac eyes. He wouldn't be surprised if Todoroki's second quirk was hypnotizing his fans, but it sure did feel that way.
"You're an introvert, too?" Todoroki questioned further. He sucked in the cold soba they were brought, and Izuku could've sworn he was this close to blushing as his whole body heated up.
"I-I suppose. I mean, I can be talkative, but I do prefer to stay indoors." Izuku gulped heavily. Man, this guy had charms. He wouldn't be surprised if he would manipulate Izuku in telling him information about their sex life, and Izuku would give it away as willingly as a child would give away an overly-sticky candy dropped out of its wrapper.
"I suppose it is a Bakugo family thing." Todoroki announced, leaning back in his seat as he side-watched Izuku. "I mean, his mother is married to an introvert too. I guess you were a perfect match."
"Thank you." Izuku said humbly, averting his eyes. For someone who looked so cold and untouchable at first glance, he sure was an innocent, complimenting softy.
"Hey, Deku. Did you see my rankings? I went higher again. Did you read about it on the news?" Monoma called out from across the table, grinning proudly. Izuku's smile faded slightly, both at the nickname he forgot to say was no longer his name, as well as at the fact that he did not, as a matter of fact, see the rankings.
"I'm sorry Monoma, but no. I haven't...been reading the news lately. It's not just about you." Izuku said guiltily. He knew Monoma remembered him as the one person who actually found him a pretty cool hero, and he felt pained at the fact he couldn't uphold the title.
Monoma seemed a little disappointed, clicking his tongue and rolling his eyes, but he played it off cool.
"Right, right. How so? I mean, considering how much you knew about all of us at the time we met, I thought you were the 'watch news everyday' type." Izuku smiled and shrugged.
"It's been difficult with Mieko around. Can't say I regret it, but I do wish I had more time to watch the news, too. This is probably the first time I actually properly went out in two months, isn't it, Katsuki?"
"Yeah." Katsuki scoffed. "Breathe deep, Izuku. You'll probably be stuck for a while again after as well, considering how unwilling you are to leave her behind."
"Wait a second. Is Izuku your real name?" Todoroki questioned.
"Yes, and may I ask who Mieko is?" Yaoyorozu continued, nodding. Izuku blinked at them in stupor, setting down his spoon as he tried to comprehend the second question.
When it clicked, he cupped his mouth and averted his eyes, feeling embarrassment prick his skin. How could he have forgotten?
Katsuki couldn't hold back and snorted, starting to laugh, his whole body shaking. Izuku threw a death glare at him, but Katsuki ignored him as he kept on wheezing, unable to hold back his disbelief. They'd really forgotten to tell them.
Izuku could already see the shock in their faces in their head, so he decided to say it now or never.
"Yes, my real name is Izuku." Izuku started, squirming in his seat. "And...well, Mieko is our daughter." He said almost guiltily, as if he had simply forgotten (which he, as a matter of fact, had).
