Graysons POV
It was the day of the flight and me and Ethan were taking an uber ride to the airport.I havent talked to Vanessa since that day when we broke up.I go to check my phone to see the time and i see her on my wallpaper,a picture of us from the halloween dance.I shrug it off,turning off my phone and i rest my eyes,knowing that I should relax now since I know I'll have to be back soon anyways.

It's been months and months ,me and Vanessa don't talk anymore.I heard from her sister that she's leaving to persuade a different dream.I decided to stay,I met someone new.But she's still on my mind.The girl i once crushed on,all because she wouldn't believe me was the reason she's gone.
"Babe,I'm home!"the sound of my new girlfriend "Clair" voice filled the room.She approached the room and her long blonde hair hanged down from her shoulders,she kisses me on the cheek,the imprint of her dark red lipstick stained my cheek.I smile at her and I look at my laptop.I was writing some emails while sitting at the kitchen island,she looks at my screen.
"Still working darling?"she glances at me and i nod.
"I have to get these done by Wednesday or my ass is grass."I type and she laughs softly.
That laugh.
It'll never be compared to how good Nessas laugh was.The way her dimples will pop when she smiled and her eyes squinting.She had such a perfect laugh.
"I got some sandwiches,of course Vegan because you're a vegan freak."She takes out a paper bag and I chuckle.
"Thanks love I'll eat later."I give her a signal and she goes to the dining room.I check the time and i close my laptop.I usually go for a jog at 5:50 pm but it's already 5:55 right now.It helps blow off steam I have bottled up.
I grab my sweater,putting it through my head and let's it rest down my torso,i grab my keys and i go to kiss Clair head.
"I'll be back."She nods and I exit the house.
Walking down the concrete porch stairs,I start to run down the hill.I place my earbuds in my ears and i take my phone out my pocket,putting some music to help distract my mind.I obviously don't pay attention and just as soon as I was going to look up,my phone gets knocked out of my hand onto the ground,hearing a small crack.
Fucker.
"Dude."I go to pick it up but a smaller hand goes to pick it up for me,white nails trace the phone case as the mysterious person goes and hands it to me.
"I'm sorry I didn't see you,I was looking for my sister."their soft voice spoke.
That soft voice
I look up and my eyes meet a pair of brown eyes.It was no one other than the one,the only.
Vanessa.
