Control-Chapter 16

               -Graysons Pov-

It's been a month since the argument, we don't talk the same, we work together but it's not the same. Alex has been treating her differently, but I'm not allowed to say my opinion, she's changed and there's nothing I can do about it. She says she "loves him"but he's hurting her, he clearly doesn't love her enough to change her true self. I know her, she isn't like this.

      I closed my notebook as I put it in my bag, its already time for me to head to work as I head out the door. I enter my car and start my engine. Time for another day in hell.

    I arrived 40 minutes later due to traffic, I get everything I need from the office and head to my class. I walk in and see Vanessa already there, her eyes glued to her laptop as I set my things down at my desk, I payed no attention to her as she did with me. I take my folder with stuff in it and put it on my desk, sitting on the classical spinning office chair, writing things down.

    I heard a sniffle as my eyes drawn to Vanessa, I noticed a tear go down her left cheek as her eyes continued to water. She quickly wiped the tear away and continued her work. I noticed something about her was different, she didn't have his necklace. I can't imagine what he has done this time. I clear my throat and decided to not do anything about it, she will want to talk about it sometime but not now.

      -Vanessa Pov-

      I didn't want to go to work today. Grayson was right about Alex, but I was too brained washed and impatient to know what love feels like, but it wasn't loved. I went to Alex's house last night cause he said he was sick, I went to CVS to get him some medicine and a teddy. When I arrived at his house I looked at his window to see he was fine, more than fine, he had a special guest over, they had a pretty heated makeout session, that's when I knew I was just a game. I quickly ripped that stupid necklace and threw it at his doorstep, I knew he saw me but it was too late,I already drove off by then.

    I felt his eyes burn into my skin as I kept repeating last night in my head. I looked at the time and got up from my seat, it was time to get the kids, he got up too as I walked to the door him following behind and we went down.

        I could barely focus today, I packed my things up, as usual, he didn't come up to me to explain himself, which proved he didn't love me.

    Grayson: So, um I know I shouldn't ask this but like are you okay, you seem off.

   "I'm fine."I spoke as I put on my jacket.

      "Are you sure because you don't seem like it?"

           "I SAID IM FINE."I snapped at him.

       "Well, obviously your not if u screamed at me."

          "fine, IM NOT OKAY, CAUSE U WERE RIGHT,HE NEVER LOVED ME."i looked at him then walked away.

              That shut him up.
