At Dol Guldur, Gandalf wakes up and finds himself trapped in one of the spiked, hanging metal cages he had seen before. He is bloodied, bruised, and burned. Hearing a horn, he looks down and sees legions of Orcs and Wargs march out of Dol Guldur, armed and equipped for war.

In Laketown, Bolg and his Orcs sneak around on the rooftops, looking for the dwarves.

Bilbo is still hiding behind Silveria. "You have been used, thief in the shadows. You were only ever a means to an end. The coward Oakenshield has weighed the value of your life and found it worth nothing." Smaug snarl as he tries to see the halfing behind the giant dragon, but she snaps at him every time. "No. No. No, you're lying!" Bilbo exclaims. Silveria is quiet, but she glares at Smaug all the time. "What did he promise you? A share of the treasure? As if it was his to give. I will not part with a single coin. Not one piece of it." Bilbo moves under a structure; Silveria follows everything, ensuring Smaug isn't hurting bilbo.
Bilbo, hearing that Smaug is on top of the structure, seeks the Arkenstone lying a few feet away from the design and makes a run for it. Smaug sees him and whips his tail, sending Bilbo, the Arkenstone, and gold flying. Bilbo stumbles and lands against a pillar. Silveria roars and slapp Smaug with her tail as she jumps to Bilbo. When she reaches him, she grabs him by the scruff and lifts him, so he's in his legs again.
-your POV-
"My teeth are swords! My claws are spears! My wings are a hurricane!" Smaug says, and Smaug displays his wings. I then noticed a scale missing on the left side of Smaug's chest. I hear Bilbo whisper to himself; he must have seen it too. "So it is true. The black arrow found its mark." Smaug whips his head aorund and snarls, making me growl back. He glances at me before staring menacingly at Bilbo. "What did you say??" He says. Bilbo stutters to get an answer. "Uh, uh, I was saying your reputation precedes you, oh Smaug, the tyrannical. Truly, you have no equal on this earth." As he says those words, I softly scowl at him and puff him with my wing.
He sends me an apologetic smile. As Bilbo speaks, he slowly backs up. He is standing in a bare, open spot, and Smaug faces him. As he finishes speaking, Bilbo looks down and sees the Arkenstone lying just a few feet from him, and he gazes at it. I see it too. I growl and make for Bilbo as he is still under the structure. Smaug senses me and whips his head up, meeting my eyes. I only give him a glare before my tail lash out under the construction and curls aorund Bilbo. I drag him out gently, then setting him down at the gold, roaring a bit before pouncing into Smaug, knocking him over from the unexpected force.
He roars in surprise and tries the get me off him, but my paws are planted on his body, holding him down. I quickly look towards Bilbo to see him grabbing the stone. I squeak as Smaug is finally able to throw me off. I land a few yards away from him and don't have time to react before he his on top of me, pinning me down. His face is dangerously close to mine. I tried to wriggle out of his grip, but he only tightened it. I roar and connect Bilbo in our mind link. "Go! I'll keep him busy!" I close the connection, focus back on Smaug, and manage to push him off me.
In the end, he gets angry, and he raises his head again, and the glow from his chest travels up his neck; roaring, Smaug bellows out a massive wall of flames over the area in which Bilbo had been standing. I growl, but I see coins on the ground move as an invisible Hobbit runs away and up some stairs. I smile and focus back on Smaug, who still rages about, blowing fire and destroying pillars. His roars echo in the distance.
-a/n pov-
(I will not write everything that happens in the lake town, only when Smaug attacks it and stuff. For now, it will be Silveria's pov, and those things happening In the mountain will be the priority.)
In the mountain, Thorin has decided to save Bilbo. He charges with his sword out through the tunnels and stops as flames light up the walls of the tunnel. He runs out onto the same overhang Bilbo had earlier reached, then stops abruptly when he sees the mountain of treasure all around him. He breathes heavily. Just then, Bilbo runs up to him. "You're alive!" He exclaims. "Not for much longer!" Bilbo yells back. "Did you find the Arkenstone?" Throin asks, ignoring Bilbo's following words "The dragon's coming!" Bilbo says, but Throin looks at him intensely. "The Arkenstone!" He bellows. They are both standing at the entrance to the tunnel, but Thorin is blocking Bilbo's way. They pause and look at each other for several seconds, then Thorin speaks again, more quietly.
