-a/n pov-

You flew towards Erebor again, this time Smaug not following you. You had convinced him that you would be fine and the dwarves were really like you're family and you couldn't abound them. You landed quietly outside Erbor's gates and shifted to your elf form. You walked in and were greeted by the other dwarves except for Thorin. When they saw you, Bilbo was the first to embrace you in a hug. You chuckled foundry at the little halfing and hugged him back, bending down to his height so you could take your arms aorund hai shoulders. "It's good having you back, laddie," Balin greeted as you had walked over to him. You smiled, but your smile faltered when you felt the greed and dragon sickness reeking of the mountain.

"thorin's in there, isn't he?" you asked and turned to face Balin, who nodded sadly. You sighed and patted his shoulder before heading towards the throne room where you saw Thorin sitting at his throne, head in his hands and dwalin in front of him. You overheard their conversation, and it broke your heart. You sighed and waited until dwalin was gone until you approached the king. "you alright, Okeanshild?" you said softly, and he looked at you. "what are you doing here?" he asked hardly, his eyes flaming with anger. You got a little taken back but mostly had expected this kind of answer. "you're not yourself, dwarf king. You're not the Thorin I knew, the one I still know. Is the Arkenstone so important that you'll risk the life of you and many others to fight for it? The time was pure when possessions weren't the things filling our hearts. Tell me when you're cured, young king" with those words, you left hoping you would have an impact, even if they were small.

You noticed the presence of Thranduil and Bard, the bowman. They had come to get their debt as they were promised, well Bard and his people were, and Thranduil wasn't, but you get it. You sighed and walked out to the gate, climbing up the stairs. The dwarves were taking a break, and Bilbo walked up to you. "he's sick, Master Baggins." you said sadly. "yes," Bilbo answered, and you heard the same sadness in his voice. "the war will come, even if the dragons not dead. The gold is cursed; there will be a war for the gold, for the mountain. Promise me you'll not fall under its curse" you turned to face Bilbo, a hopeful look in your glowing blue eyes.

Bilbo nodded hastily, and a smile spread on his lips. "you hobbits never ceases to amaze anyone. Good luck, ill be here with you" you then stepped down from the stairs and found a place where you could sleep for the night. You thought about going to Thranduil and may try to talk him out of this madness, but you knew it wasn't easy. You decided you would do it in the morn when everyone was sleeping. Kili came over to you with a blanket. You thanked him as you grabbed the blanket, wrapped it around your frame, and leaned to the stone you had chosen. Dragons could go days without sleep, but you hadn't had it in weeks, so that it would be good for now. You felt a minor figure curling up beside you, and you smiled before soothing closer to him and wrapping your arms around him, giving home some of your warmth.

Who knew what the new day would bring?

The next day went by as you had lost count, but you knew that it was going to happen something soon. you felt Smaug trying to convert you thru the bond you had created. You talked to him occasionally, but most focused on sleeping and helping the dwarves with what they needed. You barely spoke to thorin, but you glanced at each other from time to time. You went out of the mountain quite often to take moring partial in the air. It was like the quiet time before a storm. You ached in your body of wariness, as Gandalf hadn't shown up. You started to worry for the wizard, but you knew he could take care of himself. That was until a mouth came summing to you one day. It said that Gandalf needed help in the forest of Dol Guldur. You sighed and stood up, sending a mental message to Bilbo that you would be gone for a while.

Then you went outside and transformed into your dragon and flew off to the hill of sourory to save your wizard friend from the clutches of darkness. You knew this meeting would not be pleasant but flew on.

The day to face the darkness was near, and you would do it. The dragon of silver never backs down from a fight for justice. They fight until the battle is won. Then they roar and retreat in happiness and vigor. the dragon will always fith with proudness, for they are indeed a proud raze. -
