I don't mean religious before people think I'm being rude and just stop reading this. I mean like authors describe their characters with an adjective and then the word 'god'.
For instance:
"god of hotness"
"god of ball games"
"god of sex"
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that you're not Romans and the only way I could justify anyone saying the above is if they were Roman. Why? Well, because the Romans had Gods of everything, they even had a God of cupboards.
Actually, that would be quite funny, some handy man described as the God Of Cupboards. Anyway...
I just get really annoyed with this and I can't really explain fully why. I guess it's just one of those things. I think it's because it's almost as though they can't be bothered to try to make you agree with the character when the author describes them like that, it's like I'm being forced to agree because the term "God" makes it seem unarguable somehow.
That makes no sense, I'm sorry, this rant is rubbish, can't describe what I want to say but hopefully someone who reads this will understand where I'm coming from and agree with me. I just think it'd be so much better if the author described the godliness of the character by using powerful adjectives instead of 'God'.
Anyway, sorry about that,

SonstigesThe title kind of gives away what this book is about. Want to read about what annoys me about the writers, well here you go. I know that there are a lot of books out there like this, but I often find that they don't say all of the things that annoy...
