Okay, so I've read a few fantastic books with nerds as the main character but believe it or not, these nerds aren't picked on every single second of their life's. I HATE ALL THE FRICKING NERD CHARACTERS ON THIS SITE!!
The main thing that I hate about it is the fact that the girl always seems to be the nerd. WTF?! SEXIST MUCH!! Just because girls mature earlier than boys doesn't make us all nerdy. I swear that I've literally read 2 books out of hundreds on this site that had the guy as the nerdy character, and do you know what? the second was a sequel to the first.
Also, I don't know what kind of "nerds" you've meet but I can tell you that they do have a social life! They don't stay in their flipping rooms all day studying. Maybe they read, but I personally don't feel that that makes them a nerd, if it does then every person on this site is a nerd! SOMEHOW I DON'T THINK THAT THAT'S RIGHT!
On top of that, I'd like to believe that a true nerd wouldn't be stupid enough to even think about falling for some of the twats in these books. I mean, what the hell?! It's just like "hey, I'm a nerd, I've worked really hard to be where I am now but I totally want you to mess my life up"... I THINK NOT!
Oh, and why is it that the nerds don't speak all nerdy. I'm sorry but I know some quite nerdy people and I'll be the first to admit that I love my inner nerd, but they have a different way of talking then chavs etc. do. For instance, a manwhore might say "she's well hot" whereas a nerdy person may say "she's beautiful". The "nerds" in these books almost always talk like chavs and I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure that nerds don't. THIS I CAN ASSURE YOU IS FROM FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE!
NERDS AREN'T WIMPS, THEY JUST DON'T FEEL THAT A SQUABBLE IS AS IMPORTANT AS THEM SECURING A DECENT FUTURE.
I KNOW MORE NERDY BOYS THAN I DO GIRLS!
NERDS ARE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AND THEY'RE NOT CONSTANTLY PUCKED ON.
GOD THIS HASN'T HELPED AT ALL, IN FACT, I'M EVEN ANGRIER NOW THAN I WAS TO START WITH!!!!!!!!
