Okay, this is one that really annoys me. Ever since I was born I was told that vampires were monsters and they'd kill you in a second. But not on this site, nope! I haven't read one vampire story where the vampire is like that! WTF HAS HAPPENED!!
The first couple of books that had good vampires in that I ever read I thought to myself, 'wow, what a good idea, we get to see vampires in a new light'. Now? Now it's getting tedious, it's not original anymore guys, it's no good.
All I see under these vampire categories are shitty cliche romance books with pussy versions of vampires. Nope, just nope. A vampire wouldn't let a human just order them around and do whatever the human wants; it's like saying a fish controls a shark.
Predators are called predators for a reason, they eat... keyword here 'eat'... prey to sustain themselves. Vampires were meant to live on blood, not substitutes! It's like asking a lion to eat broccoli, it just wouldn't work, the lion would die.
Another thing that I guess I can shove into this rant is this: what happened to the traditional killing/torture methods?!
Methods of killing/wounding a vampire;
Silver - burns vampire when it touches them - I've not read a book on this site in a long time where this is true.
Stakes - kill a vampire instantly when it is shoved through their heart - what happened to this one?! Now it just temporarily wounds them!
Holy Water - again, burns a vampire like battery acid to a human does - again, I have not seen this in god knows how long.
Sunlight - burns them - I think that this is something to do with their skin being so delicate an sensitive because it's dead or something (I would love to know the actual reason somebody).
Fire - same as above.
If any of you know a book that has these in then tell me because I'd love to read it.
One more thing; what happened to the traditional methods of spotting a vampire?!
Methods below;
Red eyes when hungry - I haven't seen this in forever, nowadays nothing happens when the vampires are needing to feed, perhaps it's because they don't feed anymore.
Ashen skin - because vampires are actually dead, hence the fact that their skin is he colour of a corpses.
No reflection - vampires shouldn't be able to be seen in any mirror or glass or metal or anything that you can see your reflection in. This is to do with the fact that apparently it's our soul that we see when we look in a mirror and vampires don't have a soul.
Can't be seen in photos - this is for the same reason that you can't see their reflection.
Turn into bats - I don't know why this is but it's a pretty traditional idea.
Sleep in coffins - this is because it is darker and vampires live in darkness because they're very light sensitive, it also makes them feel more comfortable because where they're dead they feel that they should be in a coffin.
Fangs?! - I've actually read book where the vampires don't even have fangs!!! You can't be a fucking vampire without fangs!!!
Again, I'd love to read some books like this.
If you haven't done so and you're thinking of writing a vampire book I strongly suggest that you read 'Dracula' the first and best vampire book ever written.
Anyway, thanks for reading, let me know of any books that do follow traditional vampire books rules. Vote, comment, fan.

AcakThe title kind of gives away what this book is about. Want to read about what annoys me about the writers, well here you go. I know that there are a lot of books out there like this, but I often find that they don't say all of the things that annoy...
