chapter 2: Show Stopping Visions of the Future

" I can't believe. I'm in a mall!" Kayla said emphasizing the last part
"Kayla it's not the first time" I said
"yes it is-"
"No its not Kayla we've been here thousands of times before." Ashley said
"If you would let me finish yes it is, it is my first time this summer"
"ugh" ,Ashley moaned, "what are we going to do with you Kayla?"
"Shop I hope let's go I want to go see what animals they have in the pet shop" running off to Terri's Pet Shop dragging Ashley and me with her.
"Aww look at them they're so cute, I like the Dalmatian, which one do you like Ash!" said Kayla babbling on and on about how cute the puppies were. "I like the Puggle, he is so chubby" said Ashley practically squealing it. "Ashton which puppies do you like?" asking me.
"Personally I like the Chihuahua; I could carry her in my purse." I said as I was falling in love with it. "Yeah that would be so cute, especially in a cute hot pink and sparkly doggie purse" Ashley explained. Kayla got up and headed to some glass cages
"Hey guys look at these birds, they're so majestic and colorful, I want one." We walked over to where Kayla was standing and looking at the birds "Yeah they are pretty I guess." Ashley said as she walked back over to the puppies "Kayla I do have to agree they are pretty but you won't want them when I tell you they are very hard to take care of and extremely loud" "Ok, ok you lost me at loud." "Kayla, Ashton come on they said we can get into the pen with the puppies and play with them!" "Yay!" Kayla said as her and Ashley both ran to the puppies to play with them. I looked at the bird that seemed to be reading my mind, its ok little birdy I wouldn't want to go home with her either, I'd die on the car ride just knowing how she loves animals she would try to hug them and she would end up strangling them. "Ashton get over here your missing out!" "K, be there in a minute." Walking toward the puppy pen where Kayla and Ashley were getting stampeded by puppies. Sitting down in the pen I was already getting licked all over by puppies. Picking up the Chihuahua. "Hey there cutie aren't you just a handful. We all sat there for a while playing with the puppies and feeding them treats.
"Hey guys what do you think my mom would say if I asked her if I could bring home one of these puppies?" "God I hope she says yes!" Yelled Kayla "Yeah do it ask her, ask her!" Exclaimed Ashley
"Ok I'll do it" as I whipped out my cell phone and started texting my mom. Within a minute my mom had already answered back saying yes but not a big dog that takes up to much room. "She said yes!" Screaming out! "Yay!!' we all screamed holding fore arms and jumping around trying not to step on a puppy. "Which one are you choosing?" asked Ashley
"Is it the corgi, or the Dalmatian! Or Puggle, or the Black Lab, or Husky!" Kayla said interrupting Ashley "Guys I'm choosing the Chihuahua."
"Aww what are you going to name it?" asked Ashley "What about cookie or!
"Don't even start Kayla I'm naming her Guardian."
"Ok I'm down with that."
"Want to come home with me girl?" Asking Guardian, Picking her up and walked around finding her some accessories. "What about this pink diamond studded collar?" asked Kayla as she was holding it up
"let me see if it fits her." testing it. After I finished testing the collar on her I found several other thing like; a blue, purple, pink, green, and plaid doggie outfits along a pink doggie bag and matching collars and also a food and water bowl for her.
After we purchased guardian and her things he gave her to the store clerk so we could finish shopping at the other stores. At Levi's we each bought at least five pairs of pants, ten shirts, and two pairs of shoes. At Brighten jewelry store we spent over one hundred dollars. At JCP's we bought a pair of shorts and shirt for every color. Then we headed over to Kohl's were we bought things to go in our rooms like posters, candles, and lamps, Kayla even bought a new pink and white zebra print bed set.
"Hey Ashton I'm getting hungry do you think we could stop by the café and grab a quick bite to eat?"
"Yeah Ashton I am getting a little hungry what about you?"
"Yeah a little bit come on the café is just around the corner and down the escalator." I said as we all started walking to the café. Once we got there we all decided what we were going to have. "Kayla hurry up and choose we want to order too you know." I said sternly "ok, ok I'll have a soft pretzel and a medium Pepsi please."
"Here you go and have a nice day" said the café cashier
"what do you want ash?" I asked Ashley "just a burger with cheese and no pickles or mustard." Ashley told me "K, I'll have two burgers one with no pickles or mustard, and one with thank you."
"here you go that will be $12.99" After I paid and grabbed our tray Ashley and I sat down with Kayla and started eating "After we finish eating we should go my mom says I have to go to bed by ten O'clock tonight." I said embarrassed
"why?" Kay asked me.
"She says I have to get used to going to bed early because of school" I said as Kayla tried to untwist her soft pretzel. "Speaking of school anyone know there classes yet" Ashley asked us both. One at a time we all called out our classes.
"Yay, we all share lunch." exclaimed Ashley
We all finished our food and talked some more
"Come on guys, we best get going. I still have to pick up guardian
We walked out of the café and went to pick up guardian. Once I walked out of the pet shop door with guardian in my hands I froze. Only thirty meters from the exit doors is when my life started changing with the first weird thing, The Vision. When I turn my head thirty degrees to the right when I saw him the unknown ,but cute, stranger. Hair so black it could be mistaken as blue, he was tall and thin with scratches all over him like he was in a fight with four or five cats at once. But I knew he was just a dream of mine, but when he turned and looked me in the eyes from thirty meters away is when the real dream took place.

I was looking outside my window and saw cyan colored eyes, or at least looked cyan colored. The strange thing was it was in the middle of night and there was no light on so how could I have seen someone or something's eyes like I did, like I was right there next to them or it. I stared at them to see if I could see who or what the eyes belonged to. I watched the eyes for five minutes before they looked at me, then I saw panic in the eyes then they vanished leaving me to wander who or what did the eyes belong to and what were they doing?
The scene changed to a group of people standing in a small room discussing something
"Ethan what's wrong why you so worked up, are you in danger?" said a girl in the corner who was tall but not as tall as him. She too was all scratched up like four or five cats went at her at once "The girl she saw me" the guy they called Ethan said. "What girl!" said a man with brown hair who look about in his late twenty's or early thirty's Ethan just stood there panting with worry in his cyan eyes "Ethan what girl!" the man said yelling now.
The scene changed again this time I was at home looking for my mom who wasn't there and did not leave a note.
"Mom I'm home" I said calling for my mom setting my book bag on the couch. "Mom?" I walked into the kitchen and looked on the fridge to see if there was a note, there wasn't. "Maybe she's asleep" I said to myself, running up the steps into her bedroom, she wasn't there. "Mom where are you!" yelling very frighten now. Usually my mom leaves notes if she leaves before I get home so why didn't she this time? I heard my doorbell ring so I ran down stair hoping it was my mom but when I slung my door open it wasn't her: it was a tall, lanky, boy about my age. The scariest part was when I saw his blue eyes , his cyan blue eyes.
The scene changed one last time where I and the dude with cyan colored eyes standing back to back with cross-bows and a crow-bar surrounded by what seemed like giant creatures with blood shot eyes.
"Ethan what do I do!" I said franticly
"Just like I said, aim for the eyes with the rounded part and the middle of the head with the sharp part!" he shouted with confidence as he launched one of the sliver arrows striking a creature right between the eyes making it pass out Just as I turned to look at the creatures in front of me one of them launched its body at me so I did just as he said I hit it in the eye with the rounder part then in the middle of the head with the sharp part and it too, passed out I heard someone calling my name but it did not seem to be Ethan "Ashton, Ashton!"
"Ashton!" Yelled Kayla as I came to and looked over to where the dude was standing and I looked just in time to see panic in his eyes and rush off into a crowd. "Ashton!" Kayla yelled once more, this time I answered her "Yeah."
"Do you know him?"
"Who?"
"That guy that you were staring down, you know with the creepy cyan colored eyes." Cyan colored eyes? Was that the guy from my vision? I thought to myself "Earth to Ashton!" Ashley now yelling at me
"Do you know him?" she asked again.
"No, I mean I don't think so"
"Well come on you're the one who said let's go and now you the one stalling" she said dragging me out the doors and into the car leaving me to think what had I seen, who had I seen, why had I seen it, and what does it mean.
