Hi, I'm Ashton. I'm 16 years old and in two days I will be going to a new school. My brother William and my two best friends Kayla and Ashley already go there. Confused? I'm sure you are. In 8th grade, my last year of middle school. I was accepted to go to a magnet school for teo years. I thought it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. So I went to a magnet school for my freshman and sophomore year. At this magnet school, only a certain amount of people could go there. So at the end of my my two years the school chose the best of the best to continue on, sadly I wasn't picked. Which is what brought me here to Jefferson County High school. But at least I have my best friends. What's that you say? Why I am not excited to be going to school where my older brother can protect me? Several reasons. One, are you serious I'm not a baby! I can protect myself you know! Two, my brother and I don't quite get along, and no it's not a sibling thing. My brother hangs out with a bad crowd. They always seem to be bruised and broken in some way. 2 years ago William had three cracked ribs, a fractured leg, a broken arm, and a neck injury. He says it was from a gang fight but I don't believe him. We don't have gangs around here. And three, my brother actually kinda scares me. Some think it's because of his "battle scars." Truthfully that's not what scares me. He has always put out a vibe that just screams back off, I'm deadly! And sometimes I swear, when he's angry I hear him growl.
