When Jennie and Lisa arrived at the Manoban Mansion, they immediately went to see Old Man Manoban.

This was the first time that Jennie was meeting Old Man Mnaoban so she was quite nervous.

The duo directly went inside another house at the back of the mansion. Although it was not as luxurious as the Manoban Mansion, it was a cozy bungalow.

This place was Lisa's late grandmother's favorite place. When his grandmother passed, his grandfather had decided to live in this place instead of the mansion.

"Grandfather!" Lisa greeted the old man who was waiting for them in the small living room of the house.

The old man nodded at Lisa before fixing his gaze at Jennie. "You must be my grandson's wife. Come, take a seat.."

"Hello Grandfather, my name is Jennie Kim. I am very pleased to meet you," she said while giving the old man a friendly smile.

Old Man Manoban had a wizened face and a slightly hunched back. He leaned on his cane as he stared at Jennie. "It seems that my grandson has chosen well. I married my wife when I was 23 and we spent 52 years of our life together before she passed three years ago," the old man said before staring at the window, reminiscing his past. "In those 52 years, even until today, I have never stopped loving her. Not even once."

"When you love someone, thinking about them is like breathing. You won't even notice that you are doing it. And you can never stop," the old man smiled. "That is how much I loved my wife. I still do and I always will."

Jennie and Lisa stared at the lovesick face of the old man before them.

"I wanted you both to have this." Old Man Manoban handed a pink stone the size of a fist to Lisa. "Rose Quartz. It is not the best quality, but this item has been with me and your grandmother for fifty-two years.

"This is very special to me and your grandmother which is why I did not give it to your father. However, I will give this to you now.

"I want you both to keep this."

"Thank you, Grandfather," Lisa answered while accepting the pink stone in his hands.

They stayed with Old Man Manoban until someone called them for the party. However, Old Man Manoban decided to skip the first part of the program and actually came late to his own birthday party.

"Chairman, why are you still here? Everyone is waiting for you at the patio." The trio turned their heads towards the man who had just entered Old Man Manoban's house with a smile. "Ah... I see. So it's because your favorite grandchild is here." Jennie instantly noticed the way the guy addressed Lisa's grandfather. Chairman?

The man was smiling at everyone. However, Jennie could feel the sharpness in his eyes when he looked at her.

"Ah... Cousin, are you not going to introduce us to your fiancé?" the man asked.

"Of course. This is Zuoyi Manoban and his sister Xiaolan.," Lisa said while nodding at his cousins.

Jennie stared at the siblings in front of her. She had already seen their pictures, but this would be the first time that she talked to the both of them.

Zuoyi was as tall as Lisa with the same angular face as the one in the images. However, Xiaolan seemed to be only a few inches shorter than her brother.

Jennie had already seen Xiaolan once at the Wu Conglomerate, but she was not able to pay too much attention to her height because she was busy listening to their conversation. She should be around six foot, if not taller. For a woman, Xiaolan's height was extremely tall.

She was beautiful, not the type that would make you drool, but the type that would make you smile. Her demeanor also seemed gentle and amiable.

Jennie smiled at the siblings. "Hi, my name is Jennie Kim . Nice to meet you."

"I never thought that you would be this beautiful in person Miss Kim. Nice to meet you. You can call me Xiaolan," Xiaolan answered whilst smiling gently.

"Hi... I'm Zuoyi Manoban . Welcome to the family," Zuoyi said before shaking Jennie's hands.

"I would love for us to talk but a lot of guests are already waiting for Chairman. Why don't we all head to the venue together?" Zuoyi suggested.

Both Jennie and Lisa looked at Old Man Manoban before nodding without saying anything.

For some reason, Jennie's senses were heightened, as if she was with someone really dangerous.

However, this did not mask Jennie's excitement. Tonight they were going to announce their engagement in addition to letting everyone know that she owned RubyJane Corp.

By doing this, Jennie believed that the people who had started supporting Lisa's uncle would reconsider their decisions.

After all, Lisa's soon-to-be wife was also influential in the business world.

Jennie was hoping that this would also throw off the culprits plans.
