10. And Now You Know

Peter POV

Black Widow

That is what's written on the knife I'm holding in my hand right now.

"Nat-" I whisper tying to connect the dots.

"Is my mom" she says, still looking at the floor.

I look up at her and say.

"I thought Nat couldn't have kids?"

I heard Ms. Romanoff saying that to Dr. Banner one day at the compound, I think it has something to do with her time in the Red Room.

"She can't, I'm not her 'real' daughter, but she definitely treats me like it." Y/N says, smiling a little.

She takes my hand and leads me back inside, we sit on the bed, and get comfortable, then she continues.

"She adopted me actually, from the Red Room, I never knew who my real parents were."

"You were from the Red Room?" I ask, stroking her hair.

"Yeah, it was terrible......I grew up there with other girls, but a lot of them didn't make it....." I see tears start to fall from her eyes.

"The training was brutal, if you didn't pass they'd kill you, but that actually seemed better sometimes. They trained me to use every weapon at my disposal, guns, kinves, almost every weapon imaginable, just my bare hands were enough, I was the top of my division. By the time I was 9 I knew over 100 ways to kill a person." more tears start to fall from her eyes and she rests her head on my shoulder, I try to comfort her. She keeps going.

"One day I was sent on a mission, given by General Drekov himself, 'убить предателя (ubit' predatelya)' kill the traitor he said, I didn't want to die, so I went. I took another girl with me, her name was bff/n, we said that we'd protect each other, we went on every mission together. I lost her on that one though, General Drekov terminated her because she had second thoughts about the mission. It was me, alone, against one of the best agents to ever come out of the Red Room. Natasha Romanoff. I came at her, pinned her down so she couldn't move, then I saw this man, it was Clint, but I didn't know at the time, he shot some sort of arrows at me, I dodged them all, and even caught one, we fought for a while, they were winning. Nat got hold of my wrists, but she was calm, I could see in her eyes that she had good intentions so I calmed down too, she let go of me and said that she wasn't going to hurt me, that she was after Drekov. That she was going to take down the Red Room and release all of us from that hell hole. I couldn't help them though, or else Drekov would have me killed. But I did give them info. They rigged bombs, and blew up General Drekov's house. Nat and Clint, they asked if I'd like to go back with them, said that it'd be better, that I wouldn't have to do anything I didn't want to do. I was a little girl who didn't have anywhere else to go, so I agreed. We left Budapest and headed to New York. And now you know."

She smiled at the good memories running through her head. I kissed the top of her head.

"I don't know where the other girls are now, we all assume that they're out there leading good lives." She says, looking up at me, few tears still in her eyes.

I wipe them away with my thumbs and say "well your safe now, you never have to go back there."

"I know..." she sighs then looks up at me, her beautiful e/c eyes looking onto my brown ones, with a loving smile she says "because I have you."

We lay there for a few minutes, not talking just enjoying each other's company. Then Y/N speaks.

"We should go to the compound tomorrow, tell everyone."

"Tell everyone what?"

"A few things, that were dating and that we know each other's identities."

"Tony might come after me though." I say with a grin

"Nah, he loves you. He actually told me to give him info on you so that he could recruit you, so your welcome. Plus Tony knows that if he tries to kill you I'll come after him. Bucky, and I, we know how to make it look like an accident. "

We laugh at the comment then Y/N goes serious again.

"There- there's one more thing you should know...."

I look at her, amused and confused at the same time.

She sighs "my real name isn't Y/N Reyes..... it never was"

"It's Y/N Romanoff- Banner"

Bet you didn't see that coming.

I'm not sure if you ppl saw it but i hinted the black widow thing strait from the first chapter, even before it. On the cover i made sure to put a black widow symbol on it so its really really faint but there is a black widow symbol behind Peter.
