26. You're Avengers now

Y/N POV

We snuck our way through the ship and found the main deck, Peter climbs up to the ceiling to look around and were about to turn the corner when we hear a familiar voice.

"Wow you're seriously a loyal piece of outerwear,  aren't you?"

Peter drops down on a web infront of Tony and says, "Yeah, uh , speaking of loyally..."

"What the‐-"

I step out from behind the wall, "I know what you're gonna say"

"You should not be here." Tony says, pointing at Peter and I.

Peter and I look at each other for a second and silently decide to tale tirns explaining.

"We were gonna go home." Says Peter.

"I don't want to hear it."

"But it was such a long way down and we just thought about you on the way--" I start saying but Tony cuts me off.

"And now I gotta hear it."

"And we kinda sruck to the ship. These suits are ridiculously intuitive by the way, so if anything it's kinda you're fault we're hear."

I let out a small gasp and grab Peter's hand, knowing he said something wrong.

I see Tony's features turn serious, and his voice as well.

"What did you just say?"

"I-I take that back." Peter stuters.

"And now we're here in space." I conclude.

"Yeah right were I don't want you to be. This isn't Coney Island. This isn't a feild trip. It's a one-way ticket. You hear me? Don't pretend like you thought this through. You could not have possibly thought this through." Tony lectures us.

"No, we did think this through." I defend.

"You could not have possibly thought this through." Tony repeats.

"It's just-" Peter steps forward, "you can't be the friendly neighborhood Spiderman, or Stealth Spider," He motions to me, "if there's no neighborhood."

He pauses.

"Ok, that didn't really make any sense but you know what I'm trying to say."

Tony gives in and says, "Come on, we got a situation. See him down there? He's in trouble. What's your plan? Go."

Peter and I exchange glances then nod.

We both stand up at the time and say, "Aliens."

Tony gives us a confused and skeptical look. Once we explain the plan to him, we set it motion.

Peter and I are hiding while Tony executes the first part of the plan.

We hear him talking to Squidward, he seems distracted.

"That's our queue." I tell Peter.

I use power to launch an ball of energy into the side of the ship, making a big whole in the side.

Squidward goes flying out of the hole, into space and the wizard starts to get sucked out as well.

Peter catches him with his webs but is about to go flying out of the hole too, when giaint metal spider legs come out of the back of his suit.

I hear him shout, "Yes! Wait, what are those?"

I use my powers to bring Peter and the wizard back inside as Tony seals the whole.

I set them on the ground and Peter comes rushing over to me.

A wrap my arms around him and he holds me tight. We let go and just laugh.

We take off our masks to catch our breaths then go over to where Tony and the wizard are talking.

"And I want you to thank me. Go ahead, I'm listening. " Tony says.

"For what? Nearly balsting me into space?" Snaps the wizard.

Wow, how ungrateful.

"Who just saved your magical ass? Me." Tony snaps back.

And the back and forth continues. Peter and I just kinda stand there, watching the fight.

"I seriously don't know how you fit your head into that helmet."

"Admit it. You should have ducked out when I told you to. I tried to bench you. You refused."

"Unlike everyone else in your life, I don't work for you."

"And due to that fact, we're now in a flying doughnut billions of miles away from Earth with no backup."

This is when Peter decides to step in, "We're back up."

"No. You're stowaways. The adults are talking."

I just scoff at that.

The wizard turns to us and says says, "I'm sorry but I'm confused as to the relationship here. What is he your ward?" He points to Peter.

"No. I'm Peter, by the way." He extends his hand for the wizard to shake.

I nudge him in the ribs and it's like a little light bulb went off in his head because he then corrects himself by saying, "Oh we're using our made-up names. I'm Spiderman then."

"Stealth Spider." I say from beside Peter.

"Ah, the Spider couple. You two are all over the news." Replies the Wizard.

"And you are?" I ask.

"Steven Strange, but you cam call me Dr. Strange."

"Hold on-" Tony cuts in, "Spider Couple? When did that happen?"

"I said there's a lot of things you don't know about. And I said we would talk about it when all this is done." I say, wrapping my arm around Peter's torso.

"Fine, we'll talk about it later." Tony says, "The ship is self correcting it's course. Thing's on auto pilot."

"Can we control it? Fly us home? Tony?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"Can you get us home?" Says Strange in a stern voice.

"Yeah I heard you." Replies Tony, "I'm thinking...I'm not so sure we should."

"Under no circumstance can we bring the Time Stone to Thanos. I don't think you quite understand what's at stake here." Defends Strange.

And all of a sudden they're back at it again.

"No, It's you who doesn't understand. Thanos has been inside my head for six years...Since he sent an army to New York and now he's back! And I don't know what to do. So I'm not so sure if it's a better plan to fight him on out turf or his but you saw what they did, what he can do. At least on his turf, he's not expecting it. So I say we take the fight to him. Doctor. Do you concur?"

Strange pauses then says, "Alright,Stark. We go to him. But you have to understand...if it comes to saving you or the kids or the Time Stone... I will not hesitate to let either of you die. I can't, because the fate of the universe depends on it."

Ouch.

"Good. Nice. Moral compass.We're straight." Tony says, turning to Peter and I. He taps his hand on either side of Peter like he's knighting him, then does the same to me.

"Alright, kids. You're Avengers now."

Peter and I look at Tony in disbelief. He just smiles and gives a satisfied nod.
