Y/N POV

"One?" I ask, tightening my grip on Peter's hand. "There is no possible way there is only one."

"I'm afraid so." Answers Strange, solemnly.

"No." I mumble angrily. Peter takes his hand out of mine and wraps his arm around me, stroking up and down my waist trying to calm me down.

"Let me see." I say to Strange. Anger still in my voice.

"What?" He looks at me, confused.

"Well you see it's kind of a package deal I got with my new powers here. I got not just the time stone but the mind stone also which in case you haven't figured it out yet, I can read minds." I explain.

"You can read minds? Since when?" Asks Peter from beside me.

"I just figured it out not that long ago actually, I found out when Quill over there was trying to convince himself that Footloose is better than The Empire Strikes Back, which it is not."

"How did you-" says Quill, astonished.

I just tap my temple with my pointer finger.

"So, are you going to let me see or not?" I say to Strange.

"If I show you, then you will change the future and cause who knows how much damage. And I'm not going to let an irresponsible kid see the secrets of the future."

"First of all, I'm 16 and perfectly responsible. Considering I have been taking care of myself for 10 years of my life. Second, instead of messing everything up, I could find a way that we all get out of this, alive. Because judging by the look on your face you don't think that's going to happen."

Strange looks me dead in the eyes and says agian. "No."

"You know what," I scoff angrily, "I tried to take the easy way and ask for permission, but since you won't help I guess I have to do it myself."

I walk up to him and before he could process what's happening I put my hand on his forehead to make it easier for me to see into his mind. The visions come flooding in, all at the same time. I try to focus in on one at a time but it's consuming all my energy, I didn't know using my powers could be this exhausting. Just before I black out I see a glimpse of Tony, he looks like he's in pain, he's leaning against a piece of metal, Pepper is sitting next to him, crying.

Everything goes dark.

Peter POV

I watch as Y/N tries to find a way for us to get out of this alive by looking through the visions that Dr. Strange saw. My senses go off, telling me that something bad is about to happen. Then I see it. Y/N's knees buckle and she collapses, but I catch her just in time, right before she hits she ground.

I look up at Tony and the others who are just staring blankly at what just happened.

She never did this before and I don't know how it affected her. I check her breathing: it's  at a steady pace and she's taking full breaths so that's good. Then I check her pulse: it's steady, as it should be, but it's a bit slow. But she's good. She should be ok, like she's sleeping.

I pick her up bridal style and find a place with soft sand to lay her down. I have Trinity, her A.I., check her vital signs once again for good measure.

I kneel down next to her and hold her hand, rubbing circles on the back with my thumb.

Tony comes over to me and puts his hand on my shoulder.

"What just happened, Kid?" He asks me.

"I-I don't know, she's never done that before. Li-like she said, she just found out she could do that. She did pass out like this once, about a month ago when she first got her powers, she should wake up in a few minutes. I hope." I mumble that last sentence.
