The smell of bacon and eggs filled her nose, causing her to stir in her slumber. Adina rubbed her eyes as she arose, looking around, she didn't remember having guests over. Checking her phone the texts from Darnell made her question of who was cooking in her kitchen go away. She gathered herself and went to the bathroom washing her face and brushing her teeth before heading downstairs in her tank top and panties. She peeked around the door frame seeing Darnell cooking with just his pair of jeans on. "Breakfast in bed?" Her voice startled him and he turned around, "Well it was a surprise for you." Adina walked closer to him with a smirk on her face, "Well thank you, I'm going to need it. I have a meeting today in the city with an investor." Darnell rolled his eyes, again she was back at it with wanting to leave and start a new life in the city. "Can we just have breakfast without talking about going to the city." She scoffed as she took out some orange juice and drank it from the container, "Stop acting like me moving to the city is a big deal it's what 15 mins away. You could still see me." He slammed down the spatula, "No. I do business there and that's enough for me. I don't like living next to snakes." Adina slammed the fridge shut, "Yea as if living in a compound full of thug ass niggas is any better." She stormed back upstairs and Darnell sighed in frustration. He didn't want to start the day off like this but the more she talked about leaving the more he knew he needed to do more to make her stay.

Benny didn't sleep much, instead just watched Tyra toss and turn in bed. Ever since they met they been hooking up, unbeknownst to Benny, Tyra had big plans for him. She been waiting on someone who was savage minded who could potentially take her up out of the hood. Especially since he has musical talent that can take him farther than Mob City. She awoke to find him getting up putting on his basketball shorts. "Mmm not down for round 5?" He smirked as he grabbed his phone off the dresser, "I got things to do girl." He checked a text from Marcus, 'Whenever you done with loud mouth meet me at Jay spot, the studio ready.' Benny got dressed and tossed Tyra her clothes. "Head out whenever. I'll see you later?" She winked, "You got it baby." He left and Tyra sat up, she couldn't wait to see the potential rise and ride off the come up.

Chris looked around and checked his phone for the millionth time and his date was beginning to get annoyed, "When are you gonna relax? We been here 10 minutes." She said and he sighed, looking at her and admiring how beautiful she was. However if he gang new about his secret, they would all but kill him. "I'm sorry...it's just that. Shit is real hot right now. The deal D got going on, some serious shit. Can't be in the city too much." She rolled her eyes, "That's always your excuse. And every time it has something to do with D or your gang. I'm tired of being a secret." He looked at her. Sadness in her eyes and it made him feel guilty, "Baby what do you want me to do? They can't know about you Ashawntee and you know that." It had been almost 8 months of him and Ashawntee being together. Usually he would introduce her to his people by now but the simple fact that she was born a male would trigger a lot of folks. "I should have known." He sighs, "Should have known what?" Ashawntee received the surgery she always wanted, finally feeling complete and whole as a woman and a small part of her figured once she got her surgery that she would be more accepted in the real world as well as in her relationship. "I knew me getting bottom surgery wouldn't matter, even with me having a pussy between my legs you and everyone still look at me like I'm a nigga wearing a wig." She starts to get up and he stops her, "Baby please." She looks at him and sits back down, "I'm serious Chris, I'm tired of the dark lit night clubs and secret meet and greets here and there. I want a real relationship." He sighed, as difficult as it was he knew she was right. It wasn't fair for her and yet his fear kept him from giving her what she deserved.
