The next morning I was getting ready for school when I got a phone call from Stiles.

“Hello?” I answered into the phone, combing through my dark curls.

“Hey, Lex. Feel like taking a ride with me and Lydia down to police station?” He asked.

“Stiles, I thought you’d never ask.” I pretended to sound shocked.

“Haha.” Stiles mocked.

“We want to talk to Parrish about him being on the list. We figured you could be the bad scary cop in the interrogation if he won’t crack.” Stiles continued.

“Wow, Stiles, I am honored, but what about Scott?” I questioned.

“He isn’t answering me and he has a lot going on with the money problems and his mom.” Stiles explained. I nodded understandingly even though he couldn’t see me.

“Time?”

“I’ll pick you up in like a half hour.”

“Got it, See you then.” I said then hung up.

“Derek! I’m skipping school for the day.” I spoke a little louder than I normally would so he would know I was speaking to him. He poked his head in my door a few moments later. He was showered and dressed already.

“I’m spending the day interrogating people with Lydia and Stiles.” I elaborated.

“While we’re on the topic of events for the day, I’m taking Malia with me to look for Brett’s pack.” Derek informed me. I nodded,

“Good luck, and be safe.” I advised.

“You too.” Derek smiled and walked back out.

Normally Stiles would be picking me up for school about now. I sighed and continued to get ready. I grabbed my purse and jacket and went down the stairs. I decided to have a little something for breakfast since I had the time to waste. Time went by and eventually Stiles arrived. I hopped in the jeep and Stiles said he still had to get Lydia. When we arrived at Lydia’s I was downgraded to the backseat, which was normal. We arrived at the Sheriffs Station and requested to see Deputy Parrish. He led us into a separate room.

“Your dad should be back within the hour. Do you want to wait in his office?” He informed us. I was last in the room.

“Actually we wanted to talk to you.” Stiles shot back moving his hands nervously. That’s when I shut the door to the separate room. He looked up at my skeptically, I smiled giving off a not so friendly vibe.

“Privately.” Lydia disclosed. He stood at the desk and looked as if he were decided what to do. I studied him, He glanced at his chair, but he seemed to decide against it. Sitting down would make him seem at ease and would be more vulnerable. Lydia dug out a piece of paper from her bag and handed it to Stiles. They were standing side by side while I stayed back, closer towards the door. Stiles waved the paper around, showing Parrish but not allowing him to accessibility to read it.

“This is list of people who have been murdered and people who are targets of being killed.” Stiles elaborated, but it didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Stiles handed Parrish the paper.

“This is a hit list?” Parrish guessed reviewing the names.

“We call it a dead pool. Recognize any of the names?” Stiles tried to hint.

“Yeah, The Sheriff had me run a bunch of these names through the system last night.” Parrish seemed oblivious. I sighed. Were none of our names on this particular list?
