Later we found out that the psycho from Eichen house tried to kill Lydia and Stiles and that Officer Parrish came in to save the day and shot Brunski or whatever his name was. Stiles and Lydia have been at the hospital for a few hours or so but we weren't allowed to see them yet, but we've all been looking for other members on the list. We go out in shifts, mostly at night because that's when the pack is known for going out. I had just got back from cleaning the gasoline off of me so I was snuggling into my blankets on Scott's couch. I had decided to crash at his place since Derek always had Braedon over and I often felt as if I were intruding and I also didn't like all the noise...
I was moments from blissful sleep, when Scott interrupted.
"Lex, wake up! Kira found Brett. They're fine but we've got to go." Scott spoke. I groaned.
"I haven't fallen asleep yet." I whined pulling the blanket over my head. Scott gave the blanket a light tug; which pulled it off my body completely because of Scott's strength. When I sat up on the couch, Liam was on the reclining chair opposite of me. I forgot he also had stayed at Scott's for the remaining half hour or so that we had been there. It looked as though Liam had a fresh change of clothes on, meaning he showered. His shirt looked familiar so I assumed it was Scott's.
"Lexi, you've gotta get dressed!" Scott spoke louder running around and getting dressed. He tossed me one of my shirts and jeans from one of my bags near him. I sighed standing up and walking to one of my other bags on the floor. I pulled out a bra. I put on my bra without taking my nightshirt off, feeling as thought I didn't have the energy to walk to the bathroom. I yanked off my nightshirt and put on the scarlet red shirt that Scott had gave me. I could feel eyes burning into my back. I guessed they were Liam's since I had changed in front of Scott before.
"As I was saying..." Soctt continued about how there were probably more assassins as he slipped on his shoes and I took off my yoga pants and wiggled into the dark blue skinny jeans. I grabbed my combat boots and leather jacket neat my purse, grabbing my phone as well. I turned around to look at Scott and Liam talking about the assassins.
"So there are more assassins aside from the ones that just tried to set us on fire?"
"We're thinking a lot more."
Scott nodded acknowledging me being ready. We headed towards the door as Scott continued to explain the situation on the way to his motorcycle. When he turned around I saw him sympathetically look at Liam and when I turned to look at Liam, I saw the slight fear in his eyes and heard his heartbeat pick up.
"Why don't I take you home, Liam?" Scott offered, holding his helmet in his hand.
"I'm not like you." Liam piped up.
"Not yet." Scott replied quickly. I had a feeling that's not what Liam meant.
"I don't mean I'm not strong or I'm never gonna learn how to be in control. I mean everything else. You and your friends try to protect everyone. Have you been whole this the whole time? I mean, how are you all still alive?" Liam spoke quickly and panicked, his heartbeat going fast and the sweat gathering on his forehead. I stressed on his last questioned; my heart rate rising, as I coughed awkwardly trying to stop tears from filling in my eyes. My thoughts were on Allison, Matt and Heather. So many young people died from the supernatural.
"Uh.." I tried to fill the few seconds of silence, Liam turned around to look at me, his eyebrows furrowing for a second. I had just noticed the lack of sight from the tears in my eyes. I refused to let the tears falls.
"Not all of us are. Let me at least take you home." Scott said, handing a helmet to Liam and giving the spare one to me, leaving him without one. All three of us managed to squeeze on the motorcycle. I had my arms wrapped around Liam and Liam's were wrapped around Scott's.
We dropped off Liam at his house and then headed to Deaton's. Scott's motorcycle came to an abrupt stop and Scott jumped off of it and ran into the shop. I slowly but surely made it inside. The sound of the entrance bell didn't stop or even make Scott and Kira separate their kiss for a moment. I awkwardly made my way around them into Deaton's back room. There I saw quite a few people, an old lady, presumably Satomi. I saw the familiar face of Brett, the kid I punched in the face. There was a little girl clinging to Brett's side and about four or five other wolves, I assumed to be apart of their pack. Everyone looked up at me, a few of them alarmed at the new and unknown face. Brett didn't seem phased by my appearance. I slowly made my way towards him, feeling comfort in the familiarity. I was on the opposite side of the girl clinging to him, she seemed young...maybe 12.
"Uh..Hey.." I started awkwardly.
"There's no hard feelings about the whole punching of the face thing, right? I, er, have a bad temper." I tried my best to apologize. I imagined myself in his shoes and I found myself wondering if I would've acted the same. I looked up at Brett, since he was literally a foot taller than me, around the same height as Isaac, I'd imagine. When he looked down, a grin was on his face and he was trying to keep from chuckling.
"I noticed the whole temper thing...short fuse?"
"Especially when it comes to the people I love." I defended.
"Just like your aunt." Satomi spoke. I looked up to meet her old eyes.
"Aunt Talia?" I tried to clarify since I had a few aunts, I was fairly certain that she only knew Derek's mother. She hummed in assurance. I smiled, loving the compliment.
"Thank you." I mumbled as I felt the heat rise to my cheeks. I turned back to Brett.
"So we good?" I questioned.
"We'll see." Was he simple reply that didn't answer my question. It was hard to tell if he was teasing or being serious. He was almost as good as me at this game. At that moment Scott and Kira walked in. Kira was mid sentence.
"-all of them. Satomi, this is who I was telling you about."
"I know who Scott McCall is." Satomi said matter of factly. Of course she did, every were wolf whose anybody knows who Scott McCall is.
"Are we safe here?" The small blonde girl from Brett's other side piped up. Scott nodded assuringly and even Brett gave her a squeeze of the shoulder.
"We're gonna need help. A lot of help." Scott clarified.
"Argent has a place." I reminded Scott.
