The honks of the nearby traffic filled the night
as the car drove away from the crowd
going into the forest,
with a worn-down path as the only guide
The driver's seat held a girl with trembling hands
she knew what she was doing
she knew what this meant
but she still shivered as the scratches of the bushes
created a lot of dents
The car crinkled over the grass and the dried leaves
as the girl kept gulping deep breaths
getting ready for her death bed
The muddy overgrown road ended at the edge of the cliff
the car stopped suddenly
with her feet one centimetre away from the brakes
and one centimetre away from the cliff's sharp edge
She didn't know what to do now,
there were so many options
it confused her too much
should she live or should she be free
she couldn't make the decision
until someone entered from the green huge forest
and a helping hand was lent
they meant well of course
they meant to help her get better
but with every push, they tried
the more she secretly cried
she tried to lean on that someone
but the trembling girl was too heavy
the weight she tried to put on her someone-friend
made her fall over the edge possibly marking her end
She fell a long fall, looking at her life
wishing she had pressed the break
forgetting what all was at stake
The blue took over her sight as she dropped into the ocean
still in her car, gasping for breaths
not wanting her untimely death
The door won't open
the windows were locked
she was completely trapped
the girl gave up and sat in her seat waiting for the water to fill
until she heard someone tap
the window was fogged and her heart welled
it was that someone friend that tried to help
They helped her open the car
They helped her get away
from the mess, her life was now
and she lived.
