Chapter 17

- "That didn't seem like an obstacle to them. That is why I'm asking you."

"Depends from what they saw in you and what they wanted from you."

- "Ah, so, there are more factors at play there. And you? Would you be with someone even though you know they're in love with someone else?"

"Depends on what I am interested in about them. If it's the superficial things, then I do not care."

- "And if they're not superficial?"

"If I do not have the chance to win his heart, then no. Although, I should never say never."

- "Ah, so you would like to have someone all to yourself... You would like to have someone who would look at you differently. Someone like Max."

Agghh Max! Why Max??

- "You said that last night and I liked that. I got used to everyone expecting some kind of emotion from me, any kind of emotion. As if I can decide over it. And when it comes to emotions, not all would notice that I have emotions towards someone else – You're first to."

He thought I had emotions towards Max and liked it, but he doesn't know that it was just a moment of weakness. And he liked the fact that I realized that he's in love. I started biting my lip nervously.

Great! Why do I feel as if there's a bone trapped in my throat? 

- "Lucia, your lip is bleeding." He got up from the sand and walked towards me.

He is as close as he was last night. He smelled like something I couldn't describe, as if he wore longing of girls around him as his own perfume. His mouth seemed fresh, as if they are wetted by tears of every girl he ever dumped.

Sexy peel and charisma that spread around him were the reason of every sigh that's been heard around him. He looked into my eyes and then down at my lips.

- "It's not too bad." He concluded as he wiped my lip.

I felt the hot air coming from his lips and all sorts of butterflies started flying inside me all over again. I kept scolding myself not to look at his lips as if they're the life's mission. He looked into my eyes again and I couldn't restrain myself from looking at him.

- "You want Max to love you, don't you? Then what are you waiting for? I'm sure he'll be thrilled if you look for him tonight."

The worst thing of all is that he meant it.

Leaving him behind, lost in thoughts, I walked towards the house.

He's in love. And I am bothered with that? Why am I bothered since I only knew him for 'five minutes'? Fuck me!

I didn't get too far when I encountered Suzanna. She stood before me, obviously furious. She saw Adrian walking up behind me from the distance. She obviously saw our conversation and the moment when he walked up to me. I can already see the scenario forming inside her head. That's not good. Now that blasted dimbo will ruin my day even more.

- "Professor, what was that?"

"What was what?"

- "That, over there, with Adrian." She was fuming.

"I don't have time for your nonsense." I answered coldly, heading towards the house. The next moment, the yank of my hair returned me into my former position. She pulled my hair. Pulling my hair away from her grasp, I asked:

"Did you just pull my hair?"

- "Yes, and I have the right to do that because you are stealing my boyfriend. You are coming onto him! You're stalking him around, Lucia!"

"Lucia? Lucia! Did you just referred to me as Lucia, blabbed a bunch of nonsense and pulled my hair?!"

- "And I will do that again! I will not let someone steal what is mine, especially not you!"

"No one can steal from you what is not yours, believe me."

She laughed – "He's not mine? Are you perhaps planning to make him yours, you slut?!" She charged towards me. Adrian appeared next to her.

- "Stop making scenes I am getting sick of!"

- "No!" She shouted "I don't want her touching you! I do not want her near you! Don't you see she was following you?! I want her to fuck off!!"

Hysterical bitch. 

She grabbed my hair again. I pulled my hair from her grasp once again. She continued shouting.

- "Running away, are you? That's the only wise thing you know how to do, you homewrecker!"

- "Get over here!" He said grasping her hands behind her. "Do continue behaving pathetically like this."

"Let her go, Adrian." I spoke.

- "Don't!" Thea shouted as she ran up to us.

- "Park, do not let her go!" Sammy shouted being right behind Thea.

He stared at them in confusion while Suzanna fought his grasp. Breathing heavily, they stood next to Adrian while I was a few steps away from them.

- "Lucia please!" Thea pleaded

- "Minimaxy, don't!"

- "That's right you bitch!! Don't you ever think about coming onto someone else's boyfriend ever again!" She screamed.

I stood and watched her. She looked like a muzzled rottweiler.

- "Lucia, ignore her. Let's go." Thea said, trying to calm me down.

- "Theodora, are you a moron or what? Why are you two calming her down??"

- "Do not defend her!" Suzanna shouted. "They know that they need to get her away because I will beat the shit out of her as soon as you release me, and you'll eventually have to!"

She does not give up and I gave her every chance for it.

- "Shut up Adrian!" Thea shouted at him. She turned to Suzanna: "And you have no idea what you are talking about!"

Sammy approached but I took a step backwards, raising a hand, motioning for him to stop.

- "Let me go!" Suzanna mindlessly shouted. "Why don't you tell them what you're really like?! Why don't you tell them about how you're stalking my boyfriend and how you're groping him, you second graded whore!"

Her lips quivered in fury.

- "Shut your mouth!" Sammy shouted at her. "Let's go, Minimaxy." He stretched his hand out to me. I finally turned to talked to her:

"My duty is to warn you three times..."

She cut me off mid-sentence.

- "Your duty is to get lost and leave Adrian alone!"

- "You're demented!" Adrian raised his voice

- "I'm demented? I'm demented??"

- "Yes, you are."

- "So, you want to say she didn't approach you, that you talked and did who-knows-what, glued to one another? I saw her when she approached you!!"

- "You're talking nonsense."
