Lavender looked down at the stone ground and folded her arms. "I don't know... we can't risk dying because pain is real and if pain is real death might be too."
Hawk's stomach dropped at this statement. Recalling how many times they both have died in Minecraft. They couldn't die once.
"The nether portal maybe? Maybe it won't lead to the nether and will take us home?" Lavender suggested.
Hawk nodded, "We need to try every possibility it could be." He looked down at the floor and sighed "I think I wished us here..."
Lavender's eyes went wide before she whipped her head around to look at Hawk. "I thought I wished us here." She stated, obviously confused.
Hawk met her eyes and a smile crept up on his face. "I guess we still think alike. BRAIN POWER!" he said, trying to lift spirits.
Lavender giggled and smiled slightly. "We should try to get to that village in the morning. We can use their farms for more food." She stated
Hawk smiled before saying "I was thinking the same thing." He paused a moment, seeming to be thinking, "We should mine out a bit more of this place. Make it a bit more open and maybe we'll find some iron or coal."
Lavender nodded and picked up her stone pickaxe. Walking over to one of the walls a beginning to chip away at it, Hawk working on another wall.
~Time Skip~
Mining out of their temporary home and peeking out, they were met with one of the most gorgeous sights ever.
The sunrise
Lavender couldn't help but stare at it. It was so much more beautiful than from her screen. All the oranges and pinks and- "GAH!" She cried out as she was hit.
She fell to the ground on her back. Hitting her head, the grass made it slightly less painful but it still hurt. She groaned but when she looked at her attacker. She saw a burning zombie, growling in pain and anger.
She scrambled to her feet and pulled out her iron sword which she made over night after both her and Hawk found iron.
...It was so heavy... She gritted her teeth and swung the sword. She hit. The zombie was split in two, blood splashed on her face and her new iron chestplate.
She screeched, zombies don't bleed, do they?!
Before she could even start panicking Hawk was already by her side trying to calm her down.
After she was a bit more calm she watched the dead corpse of the zombie fizzle and burn under the sun's rays until there was nothing left.
Hawk walked Lavender over by a river and she was quick to jump in to get the blood off her.
When she got out she was shivering. "It was colder than I thought it was." She stated.
Hawk frowned, "I'm sorry." He pulled out a torch and held it close to her in an attempt to warm her up but not close enough to hurt her.
After a while they both sat down on the grass. Hawk put his sword beside him while Lavender had hers in her lap.
"They're heavier than I thought they would be." Hawk stated and looked over at Lavender.
She was staring into the distance. Seeming to be lost in thought.
Hawk went ask if she was okay, but she wasn't. He wasn't either. They were trapped in the game they played for fun. Now, their lives were on the line.
It was silent, the water was still, the breeze was gentle, all was calm for a moment and then...

Hawk and Lavender both looked at each other, wide eyed before running off in the direction of spawn.
