Mew was biting his lips as he stared at Gulf. It's been 15 minutes and Gulf was still talking to her mother on call. And...he wasn't looking happy. At all.

He wasn't speaking, just nodding his head like a doll. Finally he ended the call and Mew walked towards him, wrapping him into an instant hug.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He calmly asked.

"Mew...."

"Right here baby!"

"Can you hide me somewhere? I don't wanna go." Gulf muttered leaving Mew stunned.

"What are you saying? Where are you going?"  Mew asked as he slowly lifted Gulf's chin up, making him look up at him.

"She said.....she said she's...she's gonna take me with him. They are coming to Bangkok and will be here tomorrow. Mew I don't wanna go!" Gulf burst into tears he was holding back since he picked up the call.

"B-but why? Don't you worry baby. No one will take you away from me. No one can." Mew tightened his fists from the amount of confusion, fear and anger he had been dealing with.

Gulf had calmed down now and stopped crying. When he was crying too much, Mew carefully lifted him and took him to the room. He cleaned his tear drops that were inscribed on his face due to too much crying. He then took Gulf into a comfortable and soothing hug, drawing small circles over his back as he whispered sweet things into his ears.

Right now, Gulf was silently staring at some space and Mew was trying to make sure Gulf is okay by taking quick glances at him.
"My father has....relations with underworld people." Gulf finally said and Mew looked at him in shock. He wasn't expecting the younger to open up to him about this any sooner but neither was he expecting things turning out to be like this.

"That's why they always kept me away from them. Business and all are just an excuse, they actually are partners with the topmost gang of their state." He darkly chuckled. "I was sure that they do some illegal business but never thought they are actually partners with mafias. They still think I don't know anything." Gulf replied with shaky voice.

Mew bit his lip as he tried to process everything inside his mind.
"W-why are they taking you then? Do they want to...."

"No!" Gulf suddenly said. "Its not what you're thinking! They don't want me in their business."

"Then why?"

Gulf sighed. "T-they want to test the products......on me."

"What products?" Mew snapped as his voice went deep all of a sudden. Gulf could sense the mixture of curiosity and anger building up inside Mew.

"Some...powders..." Gulf said not wanting to say the exact word but immediately looked at Mew when he elaborated it.

"Drugs! Isn't it? Mew asked and Gulf slowly nodded, again looking down.

"And you say it's not a part of their business? Seriously Gulf?" Mew raised his voice a little bit and Gulf couldn't help but felt the sadness inside him.
"From how long these all is happening?"

"This will be the third time." Gulf lifelessly said. He knew taking drugs at such a young age is harmful but honestly, at his first time, he trusted his parents. They told him it's just a medication process to check his health conditions and 10 year old boy couldn't asked them further. When he turned 16, his parents asked him again and this time he was mature enough to know that no medical check ups can make you sleep for more than a day and you wake up just to suffer your whole body paining mercilessly.
He tried asking them about what kind of treatment had been given to him but to his surprise they threw few tantrums and he had to agree even when he didn't wanted to.
He didn't remembered much about his first time, but he still remember how he felt his bones cracking when the medicines started reacting on his second time.

Mew was listening to Gulf intently as the younger told his every detail he knew. He used to wake up in different clothes and the behaviour of people and dates of calendar were enough for him to realise he is awake after few days.
After taking the drugs, they used to put him into a watching room for survey where he would almost die of begging everyone to give him the drugs again. The drugs were so addicting that it would take weeks for younger to regain his sanity and control.

"Even if I say no, they'll still take me. I can't escape. There's no way I can." Gulf silently mumbled as he hid his face inside Mew's crook.

"Your parents are definitely rich! They handle a business of drugs with that mafia or whatever. They test it and then send it, but I can't understand one thing! Why you? Why their own son? Why their only son's life? Why can't they hire someone else?" Mew clenched his fists. He couldn't help but feel bad for Gulf. His heart ached hearing how much the younger has gone through.

"I don't know. May be trust issues." Gulf answered again.

"Look at me baby." Mew sighed and cupped his face, making him look up at him.
"Don't worry! Relax and enjoy. Cuz no one is taking you anywhere. You're strong my Gulfie. You handled it all alone. And now I'm here for you. I promise to protect you."

"No Mew! Let's just leave this place. Hide somewhere. You cant even think what my dad is capable of." Gulf was scared his father might hurt Mew in the process and he doesn't wanted Mew to involve in the first place. He wanted Mew to be safe.

"And your father can never know what I'm capable of." Mew coldly said and Gulf scrunched his red nose and tilted his head, unable to understand Mew's mind.
"He's just a drug dealer and a shame on the name of father to be exact. I didn't even saw him but my veins are urging to kill him."

"He has guns! He can harm us. He can....harm you, Mew and I can't afford that." Gulf said as his hold got tighter on Mew's waist.

"Just trust your handsome boyfriend." Mew reassured the younger and gave him a peck on his forehead.
Gulf didn't understood anything. The fear of his parents was still haunting him. He knew what his parents were capable of but can't understand why Mew is so confident about himself. He knew he can't risk Mew's life at all. He promised himself. He promised Mew. So he decided to leave. He can't let his parents hurt the love of his life. But before that, he want to make Mew the happiest man so he can take all the good memories with him. He wanted to leave the place with Mew so his parents won't find them. May be at least for few days until Gulf could think of another plan.
I know you'll never forgive me. But I'm doing this to protect you my love. I know you'll never forgive me and I'm not asking you to. I deserve it but please don't just ever hate me. I won't be able to stand it.

Gulf genuinely smiled as he tip toed and placed a sweet kiss on Mew's parted lips.
He smiled through tears when the elder kissed him back.
