"Yes Gulf? You can hear me, right?"

Gulf blinked.

"Come on young man. Stop with that response and try to speak."

Gulf moved his eyes to another direction.

"Still stubborn huh? Look! I'll minimize the dose if you response properly."

Gulf didn't even bothered to hear what doctor was trying to say.

"Babe did you showed your progress to him? I bet you're surprise doctor."
Mew came into the room with a tray and two coffee cups.

".....Mew!.."

"Yeah! I'm very much surprised by now." Doctor's eyes were widen when he heard the younger's words.
Mew smiled proudly. "I told you he spoke last night. It's all because of you doctor. Thank you so much. He's really getting better."

"I trust you, Mew. But this man of yours is so stubborn. He literally spoke for the first time in front of me. That too your name. He doesn't wanna talk to me. He doesn't listen to me. Gulf! You're cute and all but if you won't listen-"

Gulf moved his eyes away again, more like trying to roll them annoyingly.

"SAW THAT?! He doesn't listen to me!"

"Hey Gulfie! Listen to the doctor. He only wants your best. Now now! Listen to what he's saying!"

Mew clapped his hands and Gulf slowly shifted his gazes towards the doctor.

"Good boy! Now try to open your mouth, as wide as you can. We should be sure about how much of your muscles are listening to you." The doctor then started his regular exercises with Gulf. Mew was happy to see that Gulf was finally cooperating with doctor. He left the room as he didn't didn't wanted to disturb them.

"Good morning, Sir."

"Oh, Good morning, Maria."

"Have a nice day, Sir. Umm...."

"I'm having one, Maria. What happened? You wanna say something?"

"Yeah...how's Sir Gulf?"  Maria nervously scratched the back of her hand while still standing straight, his face facing floor.

Mew noticed it and understood.
"It's okay. I already told you no need to be formal. And Gulf is doing pretty good. How about you meet him and talk to him after check up?"

Maria immediately looked up to the smiling Mew. "C-can he speak now? Is he....is he really fine now?"
Mew could sense the amount of happiness in her voice as he nodded with a genuine smile.
"Yes. This time, he'll definitely tell you how your soup tastes like."

Mew knew Maria had an emotional attachment with Gulf. Through all this time when she took care of him, she somehow developed a soft but strong connection with Gulf. After telling her the good news, her reaction was exactly the same what Mew had expected. She nodded repeatedly and found her way to the kitchen.

In the middle of 18th round of his living room, Mew finally saw the doctor coming out of Gulf's room. He quickly catched him at the last stair.
"Doctor...."

"Well done, Mew. You did it. Your each and every struggle and hard work through all this time really paid off well. Your Gulf is fine now." The doctor was beyond happy. It seemed like he himself was saved by Mew. Of course he was happy. Other than this case being one of the rare case in their country, the doctor also got attached to Gulf. In his case, it was really difficult to even predict something but Gulf's condition in such time was almost perfect.

"T-thank you, doctor. Thanks a lot. It's all because of you....I...I don't know how to-"

"Then dont. There's no need. I've reduced the doses. They're not needed anymore. But make sure he takes the remaining medicines timely. There should be no delay or he has to start the whole course from day one. And make him walk as much as possible. Start giving him partial solids now. Other than this, he's okay."
