Mew was staring blankly at the old abandoned building in front of him.
Gulf noticed him and giggled."Make yourself at home, my love."
Mew didn't said anything but shifted his gazes towards Gulf. Mew watched how calmly Gulf walked inside that horrible building and followed.
"If this is what you call home, I'll live homeless for my whole life." Mew scoffed and Gulf just smiled."This place owns a big role in my life so yeah...it's home for me." Gulf looked at the walls and walked further.
"Ignore the smell, I just didn't found time to clean and throw the garbage."
Gulf said and Mew nodded. After walking through two corridors, Gulf suddenly stopped. Mew stopped too and looked at him in confusion. "What?"
"Is this awful smell coming from me too?" Gulf asked.
"No" Mew shook his head.
"Then why didn't you kissed me yet? Fuck kiss! You didn't even hugged me yet!" He pouted his lips but Mew couldn't call it cute because the knife still in his hand was making it look even more scarier.
"Gulf I was ab-"
"See! Now you don't even call me baby anymore. You really like her don't you?"
Gulf cut him off as he pointed his knife casually towards Mew while talking."NO! Gul- I mean my baby, you were so serious and I was just following you. And keep that knife away already." Mew raised his hands in defeat. He wasn't able to understand Gulf's behaviour. Even though he was still talking decently like he used to do. Gulf was possessive and Mew knew it. His obsession and possession used to come out only when he looses his temper. But now Gulf was talking about it like it's a normal and everyday thing to him.
"Then prove me wrong. Come and give me a hug." Gulf smiled but Mew could sense the demand in his voice.
He slowly made his movement towards the younger and snaked his arms around his torso. Smelling Gulf's hairs, the smell wasn't that good because of lack of care but still, Mew was missing it, he was craving for it. "I missed you...so much. Never do that again to me.""I won't. I promise this time." Gulf mumbled. He was missing this warmth, this care, this affection. He felt his urge to kill someone calmed down a little. Now he can visit that woman with Mew and come out without killing her.
He placed a soft kiss against Mew's ear.
Finally after pulling away, Gulf motioned Mew to go inside a room at the end of corridor. "Go first, I'll be right back."
He smiled and turned to leave. He still wasn't sure if he can not kill her so he thought it's better not to go with Mew.Mew stood there for a second but a thought of Jennie in danger made his feets immediately walk towards the room.
He slowly pushed the almost broken door of the room where the only light was coming from outside.
" Jennie? You in here?" Mew called out and his voice echoed in whole room."Huh? Mew?" A low voice one can barely hear come out from one of the corners.
Mew tried to look and found a figure sitting on the floor, not clearly because of lack of light."Jennie! Are you okay?" Mew reached to her and kneeled down. She was nearly conscious, her breath uneven. Her one hand tied with rope against the wall. Mew quickly untied it and carried her body out.
"I can't believe Gulf did this. Here....are you feeling better now?" Mew asked concerned.Jennie weakly smiled. "Stay away from him. He's a killer." She coughed due to dried throat. "I don't know why you wanted to find him, but he's....dangerous."
She paused for a second and sighed.
"Fuck it! Give me some water please."Mew stared at her. He concluded that he almost lost his mind more than three times after stepping his foot into Busan.
And this very new information wasn't doing any better. He brushed it away thinking Jennie is not conscious, may be she's just blabbering things. But again meeting Gulf with a knife so casually hanging in his hand like a kid with lollipop, he was confused. He stood up to find some water, he couldn't find it in the room so he left for another corridor, where Gulf went before telling him to find Jennie.
On his way, he stopped as he saw Gulf coming towards them. A bottle of water in his hand, the knife now nowhere in sight.
"I was also-"
"I know! She'll definitely need water." Gulf smiled and walked towards the woman.
"Here!" Gulf bent down and put the water bottle in front if her. She glanced at him and quickly took the bottle. After half an hour, Jennie was feeling completely fine, just a light pain in her head.
"She's fine now! Tell her to leave." Gulf chirped to Mew."I'm not leaving without him!" Jennie snap her head up to meet Gulf's glaring eyes, as he pointed towards Mew.
"I'm not leaving my almost son with a killer like you! Stay away from him alright?" She sounded like she's scolding Gulf and Mew being sitting between the two of them, just staring at their faces."Mothers are really toxic." Gulf chuckled.
"Why will I hurt the only person I love?"
He tilted his head."You need a heart to love and you don't have one. Mew!" She called out and Mew quickly looked at her. "Tell him we're leaving." And she rolled her eyes.
"It depends on who's in front of me. I do have a heart inside me for people I love.
And a knife outside for the people who irritates me." Gulf replied back and Jennie was about to reply when Mew interrupted."Enough! Both of you stop!" He turned to Jennie. "I'm not your son or your almost son." Then he turned towards Gulf. "Is she saying truth? Did you really killed someone?" Mew asked him. Gulf couldn't help but feel bad for the hurt he could see behind Mew's eyes. But he can't feel. He should not. This world is not for those who feels.
"Ask me! When he took me here, I saw three dead bodies here. Two men and one woman and he told me he killed them. Even though I wasn't that much of conscious but I do remember it. Ask him if I'm wrong!" Jennie crossed her arms on her chest.
Mew wasn't even able to look at Gulf again but the words Gulf said made him turn.
"Yes. I did. So what?"
Sometimes what we show isn't what we are. Behind every strong person, there's a weak and fragile heart who suffered the most.
