“Who is it?”
“It’s your two new best friends!”
I opened the front door to reveal Ivy. We hugged as best as we could. She had Gracie strapped in the carrier so I couldn’t squeeze her like I wanted. Ivy stepped into my house and her jaw opened.
“Here I thought that the apartment was gorgeous but this house is to die for.”
I shrugged, “I think it’s a little too big but Matthew the Diva doesn’t think it’s big enough.” I gently took Grace out of the carrier so her mom could get comfy.
“Hey Ivy.” Matt came in with Mariposa and I kissed her head. Then he kissed me full on the mouth. I blushed as I felt that familiar sensual heat settling down in my nether region. He walked away and I watched him.
“Did I come too early?” Ivy raised an eyebrow.
I rolled my eyes and smiled at her, “No, we’re just settling into this parenting life and I think we’re getting the hang of balancing everything. How about you?”
“Gracie’s actually hasn’t been giving me a hard time. I thought I would be pulling out my hair by now but nope.” She smiled.
I haven’t seen her smile as bright as she smiling now. It was uplifting.
Ivy was a very attractive girl. She was a little shorter than me, had long natural strawberry blonde hair and round honey-colored eyes. I had been dying for her to tell me what made her so sad at the hospital. But she just looked so refreshed and relaxed that I didn’t want to ruin her mood. She’ll tell me when she’s ready.
“That’s good. One of us has to have it easy. Posey is colic so no more formula. Mama’s milk will have to do for now.”
“Oh no. How has she been sleeping?”
“Well last night, I swaddled her and rocked her a bit. It worked so I guess we’ll be doing that for a while.”
“Good. Happy baby, happy parents.”
