"Hey. Sam and I are going to the doctor's. Are you going to be okay while we're gone?"

"Of course daddy."

"Well do you want us to bring you something back?"

"Nah, I probably won't be home."

"Where are you going?"

"Out."

"You bought enough food for hibernation and there isn't any more room in the kitchen."

I giggled, "Actually I met a guy yesterday."

When I say his expression changed, I mean his face hit the floor.

"Who?"

"He works at the store I was in yesterday."

My dad folded his arms together, "So invite him over."

"Don't you think that's moving a bit fast?"

"Nah, I wanna meet him."

I shrugged. It's just a damn dinner. "Okay, I'll see if he's up for it."

"We'll be back soon."

"Bye dad!"

I got out of bed and walked to my dresser. Today Matt and I were supposed to go visit his garden and I was way too excited. I decided to wear a pair of denim shorts and a black crop top. I planned on getting dirty today but I didn't want to look dirty.

I took my shower and covered every inch of my body in my mom's homemade lavender moisturizer. It was a light cream but it worked wonders on my skin. I unbraided my hair and styled it into a messy bun then got dressed. Today was going to be amazing!

Today was the day I realized just how shitty guys really were. Matt was supposed to be here at 11AM. Eight hours later and this fucker still wasn't here. Not only was he not here, but my dad and Samantha were out all day as well.

Fed up with everyone, I decided to call my mom.

"Hello my Sweet Angel!"

"Hi mommy." I replied a little dryly.

"What's wrong?"

"I got stood up."

"Who would ever keep the most beautiful girl in the world waiting? I'll kill him."

"I'm not waiting anymore mom. He straight up isn't coming. And dad is still out!"

"Where the hell is he?"

I heard the door open then close, so I told my mom I'd call her back.

"Chamomille."

When I heard my name, I turned to see my dad looking especially stressed.

"What's going on? Are the babies okay?"

"The babies are healthy and active." Samantha answered, appearing behind him.

"So what's with the somber expressions? I should be the sad one. Asshole stood me up."

"I'm sorry about that sweetheart but Samantha and I have something important to discuss with you."

"Okay, well it's obviously not good news so please just rip the bandage."

"Before I'm too pregnant to fly, your father and I are going to Ghana."

"Why?"

"So the babies can grow up in their native country." My dad answered.

"What?"
