On October 24, 1929, Wall Street was put into a panic when the stock market crashed and was completely wiped out, this day was known as 'Black Thursday'. Many Americans were forced to buy on credit for a while until they were sent into debt.

Jobs started spirling and being limited due to not making any money to give their workers, which sent people home. This caused people to lose their homes or be forced into small places which was hard especially if you have a big family.

A newly married couple, Yoongi and Hoseok, were 19 and 20 when The Great Depression started, at the time they welcomed a baby boy named Dal. The two were so worried on how they were going to raise a child during this hard time.

They both lost the only jobs they had, lived in a small apartment that was basically a fully furnished basement. At least it was something right?

Now it's January of 1939, almost 10 years since this started, and the two were still in their basement apartment. They now had 2 kids, a boy and a girl named Dal (9) and Yu-jin (3).

Hoseok (29), would go out and work for any small job he can get to at least get simple necessities, such as food and to pay the cheaper bills so they at least have heat in the winter, water and lights.

Some days he'd have a great day and work from morning until night time. Other days, which has been most days recently, he'd have to go home due to jobs being filled for the day. It broke his heart that he'd go home with nothing for his family.

Yoongi (28) stayed home and took care of Dal and Yu-jin. He even cooked and cleaned, to pass time he'd try and play games or read with the kids so they wouldn't be bored, but honestly it was boring doing those same games and reading those same books.

He'd still suck it up and continue to read or play those games because his children liked them. It was also a way of bonding with them.

Even after many breakdowns and hardships they've had the past 9, almost 10 years, they still stick together. They make it work and will continue to do so until this is over.

Hopefully this was all coming to an end really soon.
