Today was Hoseok and Yoongi's oldests birthday.  The little boy was so excited for today, seeing as it was his day and he was turning 10.

He wanted  a special and different birthday dinner, he wanted a stew and thankfully his father let Yoongi have money to go get the ingredients for it.

On the little shopping trip, the young raven also got stuff to make a cake, which of course the older had no idea about. It shouldn't matter to him anyway, their son gets a cake every year.

Things are still shit, shit even war was being talked about on the radio, but Yoongi wasn't going to let it ruin his son's day.. hopefully..

Yoongi was cooking the stew while the cake was in the oven. Hoseok, who stayed home, was in the living room sitting in his chair. The only way the married couple got along is if they were separated into different rooms.

Also, normally Yoongi would be pissed Hoseok is missing the opportunity to work, but the older normally stays home for their kids birthday so it wasn't much of a problem.

The problem though is the older was drinking like his life depended on it, but the young raven wasn't going to argue with him. As always, it would go into circles so he never touched the subject.

"Dinner!" Yoongi called his family as he filled a small portion of stew in bowls.

The first one to come running was the birthday boy, he was so excited. Yoongi handed him a bowl with a smile, it made him happy seeing his son happy.

"Thank you Mom." Dal said, walking to the table.

"You're Welcome.." Yoongi replied.

The young raven then set a bowl on the table for little Yu-jin who was ready and waiting for her fair share. Then, he handed his husband a bowl, no words exchanged. Lastly, Yoongi fed himself and sat down at the table with his family.

It was a very quiet dinner... The only people who spoke were Dal and Yu-jin, who were complimenting the stew their mother made.

In the middle of eating, the timer Yoongi had set for the oven went off, signaling the cake was done. The young raven just stood up and made his way over to the hot oven.

"The fuck is in the oven?" Hoseok asked, small slur present in his speech.

"A cake.." Yoongi replied quietly, grabbing an oven mitt and putting it on before opening the oven.

"A what?" The older asked, voice rising a bit. He didn't hear what was said.

"My cake." Dal replied for his mother.

"What do you mean cake? Where the hell did you get shit for a cake?" Hoseok asked, glaring at Yoongi like he just committed 12 crimes.

"The store, where else would I get it?"  The young raven replied, setting the hot pan on the counter and taking off the mitts.
