One year later.....
"Has anybody," Tyler Oakly questioned in a video. "Talked to iJustine recently?" Alex Burriss rubbed the back of his neck.

Okay, Alex thought. I'm not the only one being ghosted.

"I feel like," Tyler stated. "She has been missing in action. And she's not returning my texts, she's not returning my calls... Has anybody seen her?" Alex pulled out his phone and texted Jesse Wellens, knowing he's one of Justine's closest friends.

"You seen Justine lately?" Alex asked.

"No," Jesse replied. "It's been forever." Alex began to panic.

"You worried?" Alex asked.

"Nah." Jesse replied. "She's probably playing the new Super Mario Odyssey." Alex sighed and shook his head.

"Hey babe!" Lauren Riihimaki, Alex's girlfriend called out. "We have boxes from iJustine!"

"Really?!" Alex shouted excitedly. It put Alex at ease knowing Justine's okay.

"Chill," Lauren stated. "It's just iJustine." Lauren walked out of the room. Alex opened the envelope, read the note, and looked at the box.

How much did all this cost? Alex thought. Alex opened the box when something shot out and began bouncing around.

"Whoa!" Alex shouted. "What just shot out?!"

"Just catch it Alex!" Lauren shouted. It calmed down enough for Alex to grab it.

"I caught it." Alex stated. "It's a.... Book?"

"Hi!" It cheered. Alex screamed.

"What is it?!" Lauren shouted. Alex hesitated for a moment.

"N- Nothing," Alex stuttered. "I- I thought I saw a spider."

"Did you kill it?" Lauren asked.

"Yeah." Alex replied. "I did."

"Okay." Lauren stated. Alex shook his head.

"I have gone insane." Alex mumbled.

"No," It stated. "I am The Savant's Diary. You can call me Diary. What's your name?"

"A- Alex." Alex stuttered.

"Nice to meet you." Diary stated. "I need your help Alex. My owner, Justine, is trapped in this mansion owned by this sorceress who can kill Justine. You have to help me Alex. Please. She's in danger." Alex began blushing.

"You want my help?" Alex asked.

"Yes." Diary replied.

"Okay." Alex stated.
