"I've told you before, and I will tell you again, I am not a spy." Sarkon smirked at Elise after she had accused him several times. His leg twanged and another slice of pain rushed up his thigh, a few hours ago The White Blood had sliced a long wound down his thigh with her dagger after Sarkon had infuriated her a bit more than usual. That had kept his tongue in check, but some of his fake arrogance still remained.

"Fine, let's say that your not a spy. What are you doing poking around our home?" She jeered.
"I can't tell you that." It was true I couldn't, I had just followed Kassa and we ended up here. Kassa. She's definitely not coming now. But why would she? I wouldn't have. Or is that something my old self would have said? A smile crept onto her lips, it made me uneasy.
"Ok. In that case maybe your little spy can!" As she said it she walked to the cave mouth and grabbed an arm. Kassa's arm. Kassa winced an apology. My hart sagged in my chest.
"She's my sister!" I blurted. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Elise wince, that told me she might have a deeper past than I suspected. "Please, she's not meant to be here!" I gave Kassa cold look, hopefully one a big brother would give to his sister. Kassa furrowed her brows. Elise's face told me enough of how much she believed my lie, but I had to say it, if she found out Kassa was a red blood...
"Sister, spy. Doesn't matter." Elise then turned to Kassa. "What are you planning?"

"We're not planning anything," Kassa reassured her. Where is this going. I thought. "Please, we were lost, I tried to follow my brother into the woods, he was going to get food. But instead he found... you, so I went after him." She stumbled on the word 'brother' and the words were too rushed. Bad liar. I winced.
"Liar!" Elise accused. "Tell me and you won't be lying in a pool of your blood by nightfall." That made Kassa shiver.
"It's the truth I swear! Please! We're not spying!" Elise pulled out her dagger and pointed the blade at her throat. Fight back! I urged her. Luckily, the dragon hadn't returned from wherever he flew so Kassa could still fight, i however still remained frozen.
"Stop." Kassa said, her swallow made the dagger cut her neck slightly. Well her truth was out. But Elise didn't seem to care. "Please." The two girls starred into each other's eyes. Elise's face remaining harsh, Kassa's face portraying understanding and something more sinister. Something passed between them because Elise straightened and her face softened revealing the true beauty of her features.
"Wait." Elise murmured and left the cave in a hurry.

Kassa ran over to me as soon as Elise left. She wiped the red blood from her neck. "Sarkon!" She cried and tried to move me. "What happened?"
"Magic. I'm stuck." My throat had become dry all of a sudden. Her gaze shifted to my thigh, she tried to clean it up. Then she just wrapped her arms around me. No. I was glad I was frozen, so she couldn't realise I wouldn't hug her back. "Sarkon." She whispered into my chest.
