Jax heaved Kassa out of the mud with Sarkon's help.
"Be careful." Sarkon told Jax."What do you mean?" Jax's reply was fuzzy but I was out of the mud enough.
"I am dangerous now, Jax." It whispered. I clamped my mouth shut, I would not say anymore. I could see Jax's face, she was confused, but she was concerned. As she spoke she wiped the mud off my clothes.
"Are you ok? Kassa." I read her face. She did not know me at all.
I nodded, slightly and stepped out of the mud into the bank of grass. I was not 'Ok.' The throb of pain and the cages wrapped around me made it harder to breathe. I was trapped once again."Where is King Serta?" Sarkon asked Tasha.
"He's... he's um-"
"We'll take you too him. But we won't join you to see him, I might have...set him off."
Jax said cautiously to Sarkon. The old me would've asked a question or sympathised for her, something anyway. But I failed to connect back to myself. So I remained blank. And Sarkon nodded.
Jax lead the way, and Tasha walked next to her holding her hand. I sighed for a minute that I could be Tasha. Or Jax. Someone who was so beautiful and free.
I stopped myself. For that could never happen.
I was here. Or something was here, anyway.
"Jax!" I heard a high pitched, girls voice. I lowered my gaze. She had a small smile on her face, and beautiful blond curls that jiggled in the wind. "Oh! Hello! I'm Dana." She sang. She was out of breath.
I didn't reply.
"Tasha. Please to meet you." Tasha said stepping closer to the girl.
"Is Serta ok?" Jax asked Dana. "Have you seen him?"
"He's.... Errrr..... why do you need him?"
"This is Sarkon and Kassa. The people we have been travelling to meet."
"Finally! Hello! Are you alright?" She asked me.
Powers surged. Black lit the tips of my fingers. Dana jumped back and Sarkon stepped in between Dana and I.
"Kassa. What are you doing."
Kill the girl. Kill them all. We can take what you need. We can snuff them out. We can take them all. Black smoke curled like storm clouds in my chest.
No. Scratched the flames that plunged to break up the building power.
"WHAT IS GOING O- Kassa? Jax? ...Tasha? Dana?..." he trailed off. There was no point listing all the names. I could see the red under his eyes-
"Kassa! You made it! I've, oh I've missed you-"
How I needed to hug him, but his smile was blocked, Jax stepped in-front of him."She's not the same, Serta." Her voice was deathly hollow. He then took the time to actually look at me. To see the scars that were only visible through the eyes. To see the black that now danced in my pupils.
"Red Stain." Was the two words he whispered.
Aureus was near. I felt the shift in power, I felt the pain numbing. Small relief. I relished it.
"No." Was all I said.
"Stay back from her." Sarkon ordered.
"Yellow blood!" Serta whispered harshly, for everyone had gone quiet.
"Kassa. What's wrong?" Dana asked sweetly, oh how I wished-
KILL THEM ALL!
No! The waves whistled. Not this time. They have light.
"I can help you." Dana murmured, stepping closer and holding my gaze before it finally dropped to a black sleep.
She had light.
