Atsushi had always been annoyed of Akutugawa. Well, ever since they met, they've been going on missions usually given by Dazai. Of course, no way in hell is he going to accept that—especially because he's not up to fight alongside a member from an opposing organization called the Port Mafia. But, what was he meant to do? The Armed Detective Agency is going to be in big trouble if one member refuses to cooperate. Although, it seems like the president of ADA recommends Atsushi to listen to Dazai, and as much as that sounds like a bad idea, Atsushi doesn't really see Dazai as a bad person—bad influence— sure, but as long as their president was fine with it he had to follow orders.

Akutugawa was yelling at Higuchi to help the rest of Black Lizard, to back off and, to NOT follow him to wherever he was going. You can figure that he had some business to attend to—not to mention personal.

He was called by his former mentor. The mentor who goes by Dazai Osamu, just Dazai will do. Dazai works for the Armed Detective Agency, what business does he have with a mafioso—some may wonder. .

"Dazai, I'm on my way." Said the black haired mafioso from a phone.

"Well that's great! Do hurry up, will you, Akutugawa?" And before the brunette had a chance to say another word, Akutugawa arrived behind him.

"Ahh, there you are, Akutugawa! I have some important business to have with you." The brunette said full of energy.

"Anything for you, Dazai." Akutugawa replied.

"So you see, I want to send you off in on a mission—WHICH would include you working with my subordinate!"

"Subordinate, you say? I can work alone Dazai. I can do anything by mysel-" Akutugawa was cut off by the annoying voice of the other. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I highly doubt that! But anyway, I need you to find a little sneaky culprit who has mostly appeared by the alleyways somewhere nearby the Port Mafia headquarters, I'll send you the details and information about him later, all I need is for you to cooperate."

"Hm, is that all, Dazai?"

"Well, since this sneaky criminal slipped off of my hands, I'll have you work with Atsushi to handle the job."

Akutugawa's eyes widened in anger
"Me? Working with that wretched tiger? Dazai, have you lost your mind? Or is it that the Armed Detective Agency has weakened that even they can't catch a culprit—no, maybe it's actually you, Dazai, that had grown too soft and weak that you even let your own underlings do your job for you."

Dazai gave Akutugawa a menacing smile—one he'd seen before—all too familiar, and one that'd give him nightmares unbearable.

Akutugawa gave in

"Fine, I'll do as you say, but let me give you a reminder that I don't guarantee I'll be working with that tiger another time after this job has been taken care of." Dazai softened his smile and Akutugawa left without another word leaving his mouth.

Atsushi was in the ADA office as usual, he was sitting on a couch while eating his lunch.

Suddenly, Dazai walked in the office with another one of his mischievous looks. Atsushi, frightened about what Dazai was going to do around these times, suddenly went walking towards him by the couch.

Dazai gave him a menacing look and sat down by the couch in front of Atsushi by the opposite side of the table.

He then broke the new mission to Atsushi he was just discussing a few hours ago with the mafioso.

"HUH?!" Atsushi said out loud

"Me?! Working with AKUTUGAWA?! Dazai, as much as I'm willing to help, why, of all people, did it have to be him? I can't even talk to him properly or organize a plan because he doesn't even listen."

"And I thought you had gotten used to it." Dazai said while giving Atsushi a funny look

"What? No way I would get used to working with someone like him." Atsushi said in defense and reasoning.

"Time will pass by and you'll realize yourself getting used to your own partner's insults and arguments, trust me." Dazai said, followed by a chuckle, and he then left—spotting Kunikida and walking towards Kunikida to annoy him.

Atsushi was still sitting on the couch, still pondering about what Dazai had said, he sure was a weird guy, (with good intentions) but he doesn't think he'll eventually learn much about his own temporary partner in missions, what more getting used to his ignorance and (quite clever) insults.

Atsushi just gave up with trying to even figure out Dazai's intentions about the mission and finished eating his lunch.

Around this time, a particular criminal was about to stir up some more trouble.
