Chapter 14

Previously on Chapter 13

I run outside the house as I watch them singing. A bunch of various kinds of plants starts appearing. I smile softly, finally realizing that Isabela just wants to express herself in her own way, without having someone to restrain her. She's having a hard time just as much as Mirabel and I have.

-I Just Want To Belong-

Y/N P.O.V

I watch as Isabela pulls Mirabel into a hug. I smile as I watch the candle glows brighter. They jump and lands on a pile of flowers beneath them.

"What is going on?!" Someone said. I turn my head to see Abuela walking towards them. She looks upset as she looks around the place. Mirabel and Isabel sits up.

"Abuela! It's okay, everything's. We're gonna save the miracle. The magic!" Mirabel said, sounding excited. "What are you talking about?? Look at your home. Your sister!" Abuela said. I walk towards them.

"Abuela... they were j-" I tried to say. But she cuts me off. "And you, Y/N. I welcomed you to this family is to help me protect the miracle in my family! But you ruined everything! It was a mistake to welcome you, I shouldn't have let you stay in Encanto! Leave... now! You've brought nothing but disaster" She said, angrily. I gasp at what she said. Tears begin to fall from my eyes.

"Y/N. No! I brought her into this situation. She was only trying to look out for me!" Mirabel said. "That is enough, Mirabel! The stranger has to leave!" Abuela said.

I look down as I start to cry softly. "I knew it... all I've been doing was messed up. Even when I tried my best to help. I'm sorry..." I said. I turn around and runs away.

I run passed the painting Bruno use. I feel a hand grab mine. I was about to scream, when a hand cover my mouth.

"Shh! It's okay. It's just me..." the person said. I relax a little, knowing it's just Bruno. I just keep my head down as I start to cry softly. Bruno holds my hand and gently pulls me to the room he's been hiding for a while.

He gently makes me sit down on the couch. "Thank you for everything, Y/N. I knew you were only try to help. I'm sorry it all ended up like this..." he said. I just burst into more tears as I hug my knees. I feel his hand running through my hair gently.

Suddenly, the walls begins cracking. "We've got to leave!" He said. He grabs my hand and we runs out of the room. He grabs a rat and place it inside his ruana. He grabs a bucket and place it on his head. Then he use it to break through a wall. I run along with him.

I watch as the house breaking. I stand there with a sad expression. All I've been doing... everywhere I went to... I always messed things up. I knew that I shouldn't have stayed here.

"All I did was messed up..." I said in a low voice. I turn around so my back was facing the remaining of the house.

I don't know what to do
Don't know where to go
I just want to fit in
I just want to belong
But anywhere I go
I always messed it up
I just want to belong!
So where do I go!!

I ended up on top of a cliff, overlooking the Encanto. "I just want to belong!!" I sang at top of my lungs. I breathe heavily as I look forward.

"Y/N!" I turn my head to see Bruno. He's riding a horse. I stand up and turn to look at him. "Why are you here?" I asked. "I can't let you go off on your own. After everything you did for my family" he said. I let out a sigh.

"All I did was messed up, Tio Bruno..." I said. "What different is that from me? I know how you feel, kid" he said. I just give him a small smile. He smile back at me.

"Come on... we have to help Mirabel. We can still make this right..." he said, offering me his hand. "What if I mess it up again?" I said, frowning. He gives me a reassuring smile.

"We have to try. Even if we messed up. At least we know that we have gave it our best, either that... or we're going to regret not trying at all" he said. I grab his hand and get on the horse with him. The horse starts to run.

"She didn't do this!" I yelled. As we run though a bush. "She didn't do this!" Bruno said. He get off the horse sideways, because I'm still sitting behind him.

"I gave her a vision!" He said, one of his foot is still on the horse. The horse moves aside, causing him to fall over. I quickly get off. "Sorry... you could have wait for me to get off..." I said. He waves his hand, dismissing what I had said and turn to Abuela.

"It was me! I was like go! And she was like fttt! She only wanted to help. I... don't care what you think of me, but if you're too stubborn to, to-" he stops mid-sentence when Abuela hugs him. He froze at what happened.

"Brunito..." Abuela said, while still hugging Bruno. I can hear the sadness in her voice. Bruno blinks his eyes. "I feel... like I missed something important"he said. Mirabel shakes her head as she walks passed them. "Come on..." she said.

Mirabel gets on the horse. She helps Abuela, who helps Bruno. "Wait... where are we going?" Bruno said. "Home..." Mirabel said. I just stand where I am, not knowing what to do.

Mirabel turns to look at me. She frowns when she realize I'm not moving at all. "You too, Y/N..." she said, smiling at me. "But..." I trailed off.

Abuela turns to look at me. "Come on..." she said, looking at me with a smile on her face. The same smile she gave me when I first came here. I just walk towards them.

Bruno helps me get on the horse as well. I'm surprised the horse can carry the four of us. I let out a yelp when the horse suddenly speeds off. Man... that was close.
