Being an Angel

Well, if anyone was reading this before, i did change it xP. It sucked epically, so ya. Here's the new version of it and its completely different than the previous one.

Being an angel warrior can be tiring. Trust me. Fighting five days a week, seven hours a day is heck of a lot to handle.

Today's assignment: A robotic Cerberus with 3 pairs of wings chasing his tail like there's no tomorrow. Oh dear.

"You really expect me to kill this thing?" I asked Genesis. She was too busy relaxing on a cloud, reading a book and kept her gaze down on the pages of her book.

"Well, He said so. You might as well get going and kill that thing." She muttered as I sighed and glanced back at the Cerberus thing. It was glaring at me and flying closer and closer.

Guess this is the end for this 'little' guy. I smirked at the thing and within seconds I have cut off all three of it's heads. They all rocketed down, somewhere down into the humans' world. It was flying around with no heads frantically and I stabbed all of it's wings at once into my 8 feet long sword like a shish kabob. With my other sword, I sliced it's body until nothing was remaining but bite size pieces of robotic junk, raining perilously down onto the ground. Job well done.

I looked back at Genesis who shut her book and sighed, flying over to me.

"When will He ever give us something harder to fight against? He always babies us." I pouted at her. She smiled and shook her head.

"Guess we're His favorites. But then, God loves everyone, right?" She chuckled as I rolled my eyes. I am DEFINITELY not his favorite. I can tell he always finds me annoying and always wants me away from him. I guess 115 years of annoyance can't get Him to give me something more sophisticated and advanced than this junk, though.

Sighing, I flew up with Genesis up to my home; the 7th Heaven.

It's bustling with angels trying to get their job done as fast as their wings could go. I met up with my best friend, Hale, but she was too busy with helping other angels get their damaged wings fixed, so I tapped her shoulder lightly.

"Hey, Hale. How's it going?" I said with a smile as Genesis was lost somewhere else with her beloved, dear book. Hale glanced at me and a relief spread onto her beautiful face.

"Thank goodness you're here, Astrid. I was afraid I'd be stuck here alone with no one--not that I hate these angels--here that I know to talk to!" I chuckled at her response. "Oh, that reminds me. God wanted us to meet Him."

"Us, as in?" I asked.

"You, me and Genesis." She replied while straightening another pair of wings on another angel.

I raised me eyebrow. "Why?"

"Dunno. He never said anything afterward." She replied.

Huh. That's strange. He usually does. Guess we'll find out when we meet him.

I flew over to Genesis, who finally stopped reading and was discussing something with a Blondie angel. She glanced at me and gestured the other angel away.

"What is it?" She spat at me. Aren't sisters so nice these days?

I sighed and told her about the meeting as her facial expression changed. She flew immediately away to His throne as I dragged Hale along.

God was busy looking into a huge book of probably the humans' deeds and sins when we came upon him. He looked up at us, then strangely he started staring at me. I looked away while Genesis spoke to him.

"You summoned us, Your Highness." She bowed as Hale and I followed. He nodded, His gaze remained upon me when I glanced back at him. It was like he was burning a deep hole in me with those scary eyes of his.

"Yes. I have." He paused, finally looking away from me. "You have a new mission to accomplish. And it will take a while to complete."

We all stared at him like he was insane. Another mission? Already? Of course, he read my mind and glared at me as I looked down at the cloud we were standing on.

"Yes, this is a little too soon for a another mission. Usually I give you an hour and half to rest before starting a new one. But this one is very vital for you three." He hesitated before continuing. "You will be sent to earth for a year to test all of your training that you have been doing for the past years."

Sent? Down to earth?!
