"School?! You never mentioned we had to go to school before!" I exclaimed and shot up from my chair. Hale followed and glared at Genesis.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but we have to hurry!" Genesis grabbed our hands and our coats, (when did we have coats?) dragging us to a sleek, blue convertible car. She opened the doors for us, but I decided to vault in the backseat while she glared at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You can't just vault in cars like that! They'll think your stealing or-"

"Do I look like someone who would do that? No, right? Then let's go." I confirmed to her as she sighed and Hale smirked.

We got our schedules and rushed to our classes after dropping by our lockers. I stuffed in my new bag and slammed it shut. Genesis got us last minute cheap backpacks before we went to school. And what did she get me? A pink one. Great.

Hale and I seperated out ways to first period. My first class was Geometry with Mr. Greenwell. Ugh, start out the day with math with some old dude. No offense.

I walked around the school for about 10 whole minutes before I gave up and sat at a random chair outside some classroom hopelessly. I heard singing flowing out the room and guessed it was the Music room. I peeked inside and saw about a 100 students either singing or goofing off with their friends.

"Hey, you. You're not supposed to be here." I heard a deep voice say. I turned around to see a guy in a white short sleeve shirt and denim ripped jeans. Is he poor or something?

"Says who?" I glared at him.

"Says me. Now go to class." He glared back. He flipped his brown, auburn hair and walked away like he was some fashion model. This is school, for god's sake, not your fashion agency. And wasn't he supposed to be in class, too?!

I sighed and got up, and stalked the dude. He stopped and turned around while I hid behind a random locker. I heard him sigh.

"I know your there, you know. What do you want?" He spat. I slowly came out of my hiding spot and looked at him.

"I don't exactly know where my class is..." I trailed off. He snatched my schedule away from me and grabbed my arm, leading me to where the class was.

"You could be more nice, you know." I stated to him and he let go of my arm as I rubbed it. Gosh, he had some grip.

When we got to my class, he literally pushed me in and walked away.

"Thanks?" I mumbled and looked at the teacher who was staring at me along with the students. What? Did they never see a late student come to class??

"Are you Miss. Astrid?" The teacher, I assume Mr. Greenwell, asked sweetly.

"Um, yeah. I am." I stupidly replied, feeling my neck and cheeks going hot.

"I see. Well then, welcome to Skyton High. You may go sit in that empty seat over there." He pointed to a seat all the way in the back and I nodded as I trudged off to my new seat. I slumped in my chair as he resumed teaching the class about something I was too busy to pay attention to. I got out a piece of scratch paper and started doodling on it until the girl next to me noticed it.
