A/N: Yay, I have a comment x3 better than nothing surely x3333 Anyways, enjoy!!!!
"Er...um, sure, okay." I responded feebly. He nodded and gestured for me to follow him as the little girl, Hazel, tossed her hair behind her back dramatically. I followed, but then remembered about my sisters who were hiding behind the plants. Oh dear.
I poked his back (since I was behind him) and he turned around, looking at me confused.
"Um, can some friends come along, too?" I mumbled. On cue, my 'friends' came out of their hiding spots nervously. He turned and jumped backwards onto Hazel. Oops...
I bent down and stretched out a hand to help him up. He nervously took it and suddenly, I felt electrified by his touch. It was strange, but exhilarating at the same time, as I pulled him up. Hazel managed to stumble up and fix her aqua blue, summer dress in seconds and huff away.
"Sorry!" I exclaimed a little too late.
"It's fine..." The older male who fell said in a deep, tentative voice. He eyed my sisters suspiciously and I was thinking for a second that maybe I should of said no to his offer. Then he just shrugged and acted like nothing happened, so Genesis and Hale trudged behind me to their car.
After what felt like hours, we finally located the crimson red Ford Fiesta the boy and girl owned, or so I thought.
"You guys better not make a mess in my car!" He ordered to all of us. Of course, Little Miss.Attitude rolled her eyes and flipped her dramatically behind her shoulder, as my sisters and I just nodded and heeded to everything he said. Wait, when were we guys? Maybe humans either liked to mix their genders up, or just like to call everyone a 'guy'. Or is it a joke? So confused...
We sat down on the leather black seats, all squished in the back. Hazel sat in the front with the boy-wait, I forgot to ask him about his name.
"U-Um, may I ask what you name is?" I asked him. He started the car and smiles at me through a mirror attatched to the roof of the car in front of the big window.
"Jake. Jake Lloyd. And this here is Hazel, my little sister." He replied sweetly. His sister sighed and filed her nails (where did she get the file?).
"Ah. May I ask where we are going, too?" I asked. Hazel looked at me weirdly. What? Did I say something wrong? Jake just chuckled and looked back at the road and stepped on the gas. I jolted forward. This feels so awkward, I wonder how humans ride in these things.
"We're heading out toward Times Square, then to a small town close to it where Hazel and I live. Say, where do you guys live?" He questioned us. Genesis looked at him with her mysterious, amber eyes and then glanced back at us. What could we say? We can't say we just appeared from heaven magically and that we're angels on a mission. I felt Hale sink into her seat next to me, but I kept my eyes on my feet, which were replaced with colorful sneakers instead of being bare.
"Around the park we were in. We live alone." I heard Genesis say coldly. He glanced at the mirror to gaze at her. What was she talking about?!
"Um, do you want me to drop you off there then?" He asked. She nodded and pointed where he had to go. What in the heavens is she doing?! I fidgeted with the hem of my shirt.
When we all got to 'our' house, I couldn't believe it. First, Genesis was right about there being a house near the park. Second, it was enormous and the most beautiful thing ever. Third, how did Genesis know about this stuff?! Argh, I hate it when she doesn't tell me things like this.
Seeing Jake's and Hazel's expressions change from confusion to amazement when they saw our house, I decided I wouldn't say anything until I was alone with my sisters. We thanked them for all their trouble of driving us to our house and stepped into our house. It seemed even bigger inside. The golden trimmed stairs were right smack in the middle of the house, leading up to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Hale happily skipped around the glassy, spotless kitchen as Genesis flopped onto a couch in the living room. I explored throughout the house to the most interesting place I found-the sunroom.
