(y/n's pov)
after a very short walk, me and tubbo arrived at his house. we walked up to the stairs and he opened the door.
"mum, dad, i'm home! also y/n's here and we're probably going to go stream" he yelled.
"woah, woah, woah there dear, don't be going so fast. i want to meet this y/n. are they the one you always talk about?" his mum asks coming out to the door.
"MUM!!" he shouts
"sorry toby. hi y/n! it's nice to meet you" she greets.
"hi mrs.smith" i reply sweetly. "oh don't you worry dear, don't call me mrs.smith. you can call me jennifer" she tells me.
"okay thank you" i say nicely. tubbo grabs my hand and i stop at the movement. "okay mum, we're going upstairs to go stream. c'mon y/n" he says to his mum as he pulls me up the stairs. "i'm sorry about mum, she always gets in the way when i bring someone new over." he says while rolling his eyes.
"it's alright tubs, don't worry" i say smiling at him. "you know, you can call me toby if you want" he says, gesturing for me to come sit beside him at his pc. i nod and sit down beside him. "alright, what are we gonna stream?" he asks me, setting up streamlabs and obs.

"we could do a q&a?" i suggest. "yeah sure! i like that idea" he says while clicking the go live button. we wait for a couple minutes vibing to music until we're sure the notification goes out. "HELLO BOYS! WHAT'S GOING ON?" toby says to chat. i glance down at chat to see what they were saying.

"hi chattt!! yes it's me! and yes i am here with tubbo right now. we were thinking of doing a q&a for this stream, yeah?" i say while looking up at toby. "yep! so dono with your questions if you want, all donos are text to speech. or you could ask in chat, but we might not see it" he explains to chat.
we hear the notification noise, and then the robotic voice speaks out. "how old are you guys?" it asks us. tubbo speaks up first. "i'm 17" he says. "and i'm 16, but i'll be 17 in 2 weeks!" i say smiling at the camera. toby looks down at me "you didn't tell me your birthday was soon! we've gotta do something for that" he says. "noooo i don't want to do anything. we'll talk about it after stream" i say while looking up at him. we stay there looking at eachother for a second until a dono breaks our gazes apart. "are you guys dating? cause chat if you just saw what i saw it sure looks like they like eachother" the monotone voice reads. "no, we're not dating" we both say at the same time.
i look at the camera, hoping the crimson color on my face wasn't noticable, but when i turn i notice toby's face has gone a flush shade as well.
'i love this boy.... but' i thought 'there's no way he likes me...' little did y/n know...
