"Sounds good to me." You said down the phone, voice echoing around your bathroom.

"Okay! So do you want to meet at the shopping centre or do you want me to pick you up or?" Koala replied as you pushed open the door, travelling out of your bathroom.

You smiled and closed the door behind you, padding towards your dresser while your free hand secured your towel. "Don't worry, I'll meet you there."

"Alright! Then I'll see you at-"

Something similar to a shiver skittered down your spine as the faint sound of paper rustling invaded your senses. Your entire body immediately went ridged and your eyes widened, heart beginning to speed up.

Now?

Since the notes' beginning, you had become a lot more aware of that familiar sound. It scared you and ever so slightly angered you. The second you heard it, you knew exactly what was going on. The connection to your fears was ingrained. Intertwined with your troubled mind.

Your hand paused on the drawer's knob before you could pull it, suddenly shooting up to grasp at your fluffy, white towel. If someone was watching, it had better not fall. Your head whipped towards the window, yet only clear, autumn skies drew out far beyond. There wasn't even a single cloud, but you weren't fooled. You knew just how cold it truly was. But the point was, nothing was out of place.

Although the second your head flipped in the direction of the door, eyes flickering over the old, wooden frame and to the floor, you saw it.

There on the flint carpet.

"(Y/n)?"

"(Y/n)?"

Koala's voice pulled you from your thoughts as you leaned down, picking up the note cautiously as if it was a bomb ready to blow. Though you were quickly reminded that it wasn't there when you had gotten out of the shower, so that meant...

"Yeah, I'll see you at twelve." You called hastily, pulling the phone from your ear. Hopefully she would think you were busy or something of such rather than being rude. "Later, Koala!"

You could hear her stammer from the other end of the line. "A-Ah? Okay, b-!"

Immediately, you threw your phone down onto your bed and reached for the door handle. You ripped it open so hard that it creaked harshly and almost flew off of its hinges, banging loudly against the wall next to it. In mere milliseconds you were dashing out into the hall, heart drumming in your ears and your blood rushing through your veins like a crimson river. You stood there in your towel, looking left and right frantically.

Yet, there was nothing.

No one.

Not even a soul in sight.

"How did they get away so fast?" You murmured through heavy breaths, chest rising and falling while your frozen body trembled. Your eyes drew back down to the note and you huffed, hand tightening on the edge so hard that it crumpled. "This is not my idea of fun."
