Sabo's apartment always felt like a breath of fresh air.

Although it was a studio, it had a lot more space than your place did. Not only that, but it had insanely amazing views - the sprawling city sitting on the horizon before your very eyes. There was a small kitchen by the door and a living space too, a bed in one corner cut off from the rest of the room with an antique screen. Sabo liked antiques and luckily for him, he had the money and space to acquire such items.

On this particular day, the entire gang was assembled. By that you meant all your friends were in one place, which wasn't exactly a common occurrence. While you and Law were sat up on the sofas, Koala and Sabo were sitting on the rug. The atmosphere was comfortable and all was well.

You were all playing a game of cards and it was getting competitive, until Law won by a landslide. The man was a genius, it was hard to lose against him in anything that related to strategy. So with that over and done with, a conversation then emerged. Maybe not one you were expecting to come up, but it was a conversation nonetheless.

"Anyone else noticed that our (Y/n) here has been hanging around with someone new?" Koala piped up, giving you a look of suggestion as she gazed up from the floor.

Your cheeks darkened and you offered her a pout. "Hey."

"I have, actually." Law hummed. The man always loved to give you a little shit where he could, despite being a grump for the majority of the time.

Sabo frowned with pressed lips, glancing between all three of you with confusion. "Have I missed something?"

"You have." Koala continued, causing you to sigh softly. "(Y/n) has a little crush."

"How do you know it's a crush?" You shot, giving her a subtle glare.

The blonde haired girl closed her eyes and smiled victoriously. "I can tell."

"Bartolomeo? The eccentric guy?" Sabo said, mildly astonished.

"There's a lot of those." You murmured, only to not be heard.

"I have to say, I'm pretty surprised that it's Bartolomeo of all people."

Looking over at Law, you could see the mixed expression on his face. Though you couldn't exactly tell what he truly felt. He looked to be in deep thought while also displaying something akin to contempt. Did he not like Bartolomeo? You had seen them interact just fine before.

"Why, is that not okay?" You asked, still frowning.

Koala spoke up and cut you off. "Anyway, please tell me you've stopped torturing yourself."

"Torturing myself?"

She nodded, a smile on her face. "I'm no idiot, (Y/n)."

Ah. She was referring to you not making any kind of move and was waiting patiently for an answer. Clearly the guys also wanted to hear the news, too. So with a hum, you let your lips curl into a smile.

"Well, uh, we're going on a date. Tonight, actually." You physically watched Koala's smile turn to a grin as she readied herself to leap up from where she sat, quickly putting two hands in front of her to keep her down. "But it's just a date. I'm not rushing."

"Still!" She practically squealed, both men wincing upon her reaction. Koala could be unpredictable at times. "(Y/n) that's so cool!"

"I guess."

"I guess? Be more excited!"

If only she knew how excited you actually were. You were never one for going nuts when you were excited about something and you were never one to rush. You wanted to think about now, now and later whenever later came.
